I own this same exact model ESP EC-1000-ET LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. It was delivered by mail in tune. Sounds awesome, action is nice, emg pickups need I say more. Nice looking with a great finish, feels comfortable, not too heavy or too light, Can be expensive but worth it, I bought mine from a non-profit church selling guitars on ebay for $700 just to show the markup most places sell it $1,000-$1,700 range and it came with a nice gigbag.

Would you have to bend higher than normal in order to produce the same pitch as you would achieve without the Evertune bridge? Furthermore, does the bridge's compensation affect vibrato in any way?

What about downtuning, does it need any special set up like trems due to the springs or what? :-))

with EMG you have a dynamic but a cold sound -dark sound except with one guitar with a maple body which was great for solo if not, i prefer the brightness of another Gibson dimarzio pickups

You don't have to bend further to get same sounds as long as you tighten strings enough before tuning the bridge, oh yeah you need to tune at the bridge not the neck.

So I'm sold loved everything about the guitar but does it come with the tremolo?
@thomasmarchese2808

It’s not a tremelo. It’s a fixed bridge. And yes. That’s why it’s called the ec-1000ET. Like he said ec-1000ET et for Evertune. As in the Evertune bridge. It’s in the name. So yea it comes on the guitar.

Would it be a problem to tune this down to drop D and back again because of this bridge? Or is it just like a normal guitar?
@EnsiGeetard
10 жыл бұрын
It is NOT like a normal guitar. It has a special tension system, kind of like a floyd rose, but not really. Drop tuning the guitar is not as easy as a regular guitar, but not as hard as a floyd rose. You'll need the hex-key to tune it. Doesn't take long.
@W33ird

EnsiGeetard Ok thanks! So it's all in the bridge? I tune my guitar down to drop D pretty often, so maybe this guitar is not for me?

It will take some time to tune it, but not too much. I think it's worth it.
@babystomper1049

You may find that the evertune will improve your sound in drop tunings because whereas other bridges allow the detuning sound of a low D string as it is struck really hard, the evertune can keep it at D. This will alter the sound of djent playing and it's up to you if you want that to happen or not.

You mean "any crappy guitar in the world could go out of tune with a bend like that". I've had everything from quality fenders to cheap Chinese Les Paul copies that could take a bend like that and still stay in tune. This is just another gimmick that probably makes is a huge PITA if you ever want to do an alternate tuning.

@@DrChaunceyBlevins I absolutely LOVE mine, even still 4 years later. Aside of literally building my own guitars (I built 2 LP style guitars) I only play ESP / LTD. Never fail me, always do what I need them to, and do so perfectly! People have to understand though, every guitar needs "set up" how you like, and so that everything is dialed in...
