• Description:
In this video, I go over the process of building a contactless thermometer using an ESP32 WeMos-compatible development board, an OLED display and battery shields, and a MLX90614 breakout board mounted on a WeMos Proto Shield. I show, step-by-step, the assembly of the hardware as well as the necessary software for having the ESP32 read data from the MLX90614 sensor (over i2c), and display it on the OLED screen. I also test out the use of the battery shield to make the device portable.
