I missed it, but that must have been funny. Reminds me of the SEC Championship game between LSU and USC. Teams were chippy after an intentional foul. Then, Kamila Cardoso shoved LSU player, Flau'jae Johnson, down to the floor from behind. Hailey Van Lith, who is all of 5' 7", maybe 130 pounds with blonde hair and pig tails, was 20 feet away and sprinted over to stand between them, and stood face to chest with Cardoso. She was jawing and mean mugging Cardoso, who is 6'7", and 215 pounds. Cardoso looked down at her, genuinely surprised and a little amused. She just leaned on Hailey, backed her up, and pinned her on a barrier. It was broken up quickly. I was laughing my head off, but as an LSU fan, I was so proud of Hailey. That's a teammate right there. Kamila could have eaten her.

Mick, in the Aces v Storm game yesterday, during the 4th quarter, A’ja flopped under the basket when she thought the ref was a player. It’s worth a watch around ~1:40 remaining in the 4th. It made me think about the Aces V Fever games where the Aces are clearly coached to flop on everything. Would love to see you talk about it

Plus minus is affected by bench and coaching, their defense statistics also is affected by coaching, defensive schemes and bench....steals is more representative of players effort...blocks is more positional so should not be used. FG+FT+(assist x 2.1)+(rebounds x1.1) +(steals x1.5) is a formula that gives a fair assessment of contrabutions to team. Rebounds and assist are positional and unequal in value, hence the difference in numbers to multiply by...steals is effort and used a higher number because of how powerful a transition and often a scoring opportunity can happen.

If you read the article, they basically admit how faulty these advanced metrics are. Then why use them other than to keep CC from top spot? Advanced metrics favor bigger players, rebounding and those who don’t play full games but come in and give their team a jolt. They should not be used other than the ratings for TS and eFG which simply adjust for 3’s being a good shot at a lower % than a 2. It’s a straight math thing. The Raptor rating is so ESPN can align results with political correctness.

Isn't CC playing 35-38mins? Reese is far better than CC in Plus/Minus CC has a bunch of matchmakers like Kelsey Mitchel, Lexie Hull, Nalyssa Smith and Erica. So CC plus/minus is negligible cos these 3 players bring all the fire in the game and not CC. If not for injury, Reese would be ROTY

Caitlin Clark is the rookie of the year if Angel Reese hadn't gotten hurt and stayed in for the final games then we would have a different conversation they both have been great and they both have broken rookie and WNBA records. Both records are impressive I personally think the rebounding record is more impressive but you cannot caitlin's impact on the fever she was their missing piece although they are clicking now they are about 6 in the rankings and I think that is inaccurate evaluation of the team they are middle of the pack team at best. The sky all healthy are the same they are a 7th place team or 8th place due to their lack of guard play.

RAPTOR stands for “Robust Algorithm (using) Player Tracking (and) On/Off Ratings” and measures the number of points a player contributes to team offense and team defense per 100 possessions, relative to a league-average player.
