I remember when people felt getting a vintage hockey card signed devalued it, but I'm glad to see that this is no longer the case today, especially in the case of signed vintage rookie cards. Most likely influenced by the modern card market, where a current superstar's autographed rookie card is usually their most expensive card! Players like Phil Esposito, Gerry Cheevers, and Yvon Cournoyer never got the opportunity to sit down and sign their rookie cards before they came out, like today’s players do. This latest consignment tries to right that wrong, in as much as is possible.
The latest consignment received here at AA Sports Cards contains a nice group of hand signed vintage cards including Espo, "Cheesey", and "The Roadrunner" as well as Beliveau, Maurice Richard and Ted Lindsay. As cool as these are, one card in this collection still stands out...and that is, of course, the 1966 Topps #35 Bobby Orr rookie card. Unfortunately, it has back damage, but the front is very decent, especially the centering. All of these cards will be coming up for auction in the near future on eBay. You can find us on eBay under our user ID Vahoota [ ebay.com/usr/v... ].
If you reside in Canada, and would like to sell or consign your vintage or high-end modern sports cards, we’d relish the opportunity to work with you. To learn more about us please visit our website at aasportscards.com. #thehobby #whodoyoucollect #aasportscards
