I love how Brando is practically playing the exact same role from "The Godfather," yet he's somehow able to make the character more comedic without seeming to do anything different whatsoever.

And the fact that those performances are much much years apart. I mean, he practically "re-enact" Don Vito in this effortlessly. That show how good he is as an actor. Im not an actor or what but if you say, Brando will re-enact The Godfather role, I think he can....

i love how Bruno Kirby almost breaks out of character after Brando gave the "its strong coffee" gesture. Both Kirby and Brando.... amazing actors. rest in peace.

Fun fact of the day, back in the 70s, the original “older Clemenza” played Bruno Kirby’s (young Clemenza) father in a comedy drama.

@@portugal5698 yes… I believe Old Clemenzas wife (both in real life and in GF1) played the mom in the sitcom: The Super! Ironically, it was his battle axe wife that convinced Richard Castellano to hold out for more money (and creative control!!) in GF2, which is why Coppola axed him for GF2. Crazy wife.

There’s a small moment where Carmine calls Clark... Kent ... it’s so subtle and Vic corrects him. The script of this movie is genius imo. Also great because Brando played Jor-El in Superman The Movie. The correlation is hard to grasp but it’s there.

For playing Vito Corleone, they had to make him older, in this film he had the perfect age to play the don!
