I kind of fell into the role of worship leader. I was never really asked if I wanted to lead and I didn’t apply for the role. It just happened when our worship leader had to leave the state because of his job. I have the full backing of our pastor, but I know the church I attend has always had the belief that women should not lead men. I never really thought much about it, but in the song transitions I use scripture or prayer sometimes. The pastor has told me that he is supportive and to keep doing what I’m doing because I’m doing a great job. Since I have been leading for a couple of months now, I am feeling more confident on stage, but I was sure out of my comfort zone at first. Just wondering if any of the women on your team have had to face this attitude and if so, how it was dealt with. Thank you for all you do for God’s kingdom.

FromTheAshes7 Lol, now that's all I can hear...I don't think I've ever heard that many "likes" and "ums" in discussion...and I lived in So Cal.
