Areal footage of Esslingen am Neckar with some footage from HTC one mini filming ducks on the bridge.
I developed an app UDP FPV in time when phones had better cameras then drones. The app allowed to use a phone as fpv camera if attached to the drone. As it's not the case now when DJI Drones have better cameras then those on phones the app is no longer interesting for original purpose. In this video you can compare footage of HTC One Mini with DJI Phantom 3 Advanced. Phones gives still a decent footage IMO but not worth attaching it to the drone especially when DJI Drones allow you to fly miles away with cristal clear video feed all the time. Wifi would limit you in 100meters or perhaps with antena booster a bit longer but still incomparable with DJI capabilities.
I'm not planning to switch to Phantom 4 as new features it has are not interesting to me. I don't even use P-mode and fly always in manual Atti mode which gives you only altitude hold. And cenrtanly I'm not interested in collision avoidance systems and some sonar etc devices which make flight much more complicated and therefore prone to software errors. But for beginners Phantom 4 Pro could allow avoid some crashes which allow these drones sold as part doners on ebay. Mavic is interesting but having whole bunch of new stuff: Transmitter, batteries, charger etc is not good for me. But I might make exception in the future as Mavic's transmitter is really compact and slick. it would allow me to carry a drone around in a laptop bag as now I have to choose b/n drone and laptop
