Hey Conor, really liking these estimating videos. Is there somewhere online I could get a pdf copy of similar set of drawings?

Hey Evan, we are fortunate to have a colleague share these drawing sets with our students. This set cost the client approx $20,000 to develop with their architect. As such, I can't share these! Best trying to find something similar.

Hi Conor, I’m from north of California. Really like your videos. Do you do estimate by email? How much do you charge? I just got my general contractor license and I’m having trouble with the take off of big plans.

Hey Marlene, appreciate the feedback. I would not recommend using any service that estimates by email (and why I do not do this either). Estimating materials is depended on the quality of the drawings (the set in this video cost $20,000) but they don't share much of the existing conditions. You don't want to miss out on items not shown in the drawings. The other reason you need to learn to estimate your own work is ONLY YOU know the efficiency of your own labour (your team or subs). Pricing books are useless as your team will work fast/slow and you might pay them more/less than average labour rates. All to say, try and take a more in-depth Estimating course somewhere. Let me know if you need some links to this.
