This video shows when the divers search cabin 6230 in the wreck of the Estonia. A attaché case is found in that cabin that belongs to Alexander Voronin.
There has been claims that the purpose of the dive was to find the attaché case. In my opinion that is not the case and here is why:
The diver does not start his search in cabin 6230 but in other cabins, further away.
Before he finds 6230 he tries to enter cabin 6229.
He does not seem to know where cabin 6230 is located and not the cabin layout.
He stays in the cabin and continue his search even after he found the case.
Nor the diver, nor the supervisor seem to know that the owner of the case survived the accident.
Nothing in the footage suggests that the case was brought to the surface.
If the attaché case was the main goal and it was important why not start with that?
