It can hardly be better. An army marches through the streets of its own country and is celebrated by the population. Set an example of protecting your country and its people. Thank you for sharing these impressions Rula!

yes, it was quite show to witness live. definitely a proud moment for all of the people there to be able to celebrate their identity and freedom. lets just hope all this will never have to be put to use.

If you never want to use your army, you really need a strong army. Having the strongest army in the entire neighborhood would really be the best option. ;)@@Rula2020

yes good point for sure. but you know baltics can only do so much due to the size and number of people. But maybe the Bundeswehr can listen to your suggestion:)

Unfortunately the Bundeswehr hasn't replied to any of my emails since the early 2000s, so I wouldn't count on them to listen to me. It is a complicated situation without a simple solution. While armies of nations like Russia have problems with corruption the German army has a similar bad problem with bueraucracy and of course politics. The party Die Grünen for example is generally speaking a good supporter of Ukraine and I will definitely give them credit for that but exactly this party tried to defund, reduce and abbolish the Bundeswehr ever since the early 80s. And along with the Bundeswehr they went hard against German weapon exports, which of course meant that the military industrial base of Germany had a very hard time for a very long time. The fact that at least now it kind of seemes that these companies seem to be able to perform some kind of comeback is close to a miracle in my opinion. @@Rula2020

You got it all wrong, Estonia joined Nato to stay independent for obvious security reasons. And so did now Finland and Sweden.

@@Rula2020 I do not know about the Russian farmers, I talk about our own. If you haven't noticed, there is a Middle Class Uprising going on, all over Europe and the USA. Sooner or later, you have to cope with it.
