HBK was my favourite wrestler back then. His ring mic skills charisma ring talent and working with the crowd was unmatched. He could work with any calibre of opponent and give a great match

This is one of the more feel good stories for an AEW to WWE wrestler not named Cody or CM Punk. I’m very happy for him!

I love me some HBK but, I don’t think he falls into GOAT discussion purely because he wasn’t nearly as “box office” as some others in that discussion. He had athleticism, he could work different styles, he could sell, storytell, he didn’t look bad as a champion, he had longevity of career with evolving over different personas, and he was solid at promos and had charisma and some connection with fans. But he rarely was the top guy that put the most bums on seats for any given event or year, and I think that puts him behind too many other greats.

Also you got to think in his second stint in his career he just wanted to help other guys instead of being Champion or a top guy

I get what you are saying, but he had alot of moments where he put the most bums in the seat for sure. His whole DX run was putting bums into seats. From 2002 he stole the Show in many Events. In 2004 he was booked into the WM20 Mainevent with Benoit and Triple H because having a Singles-Match between Triple H and Benoit wouldnt draw as much as having Michaels in it. In 2007 WM23 Michaels vs Cena was the biggest draw aswell. And of course his last two Wrestlemania against the Undertaker. You cant take that away from him. You have to consider that on his second run he didnt want to be the main player. But he often outshined all the Maineventers unintentionally. WM19 everyone talked about Y2J vs HBK afterwards, same with WM21 Angle vs HBK. He made the midcard more interesting than the Mainevent. He will always be in the discussion for being the GOAT.

NXT is where great wrestling minds go to retire. This is what wrestling was missing all of those years.

One the the biggest difference between Vince and HHH/Shawn is Vince was a tidel wave that drowned whoever he wanted. HHH/Shawn's tidel is lifting all boats to prosperity. Who would have thought in 2000 DX would be doing that?

If Vince didn’t like him and he didn’t allow Vince to do what he wanted with him behind closed doors he would have been nothing. The fans didn’t like him, the locker room didn’t like him. But Vince liked parts of him so he got pushed. You know your human garbage when RVD dislikes you and doesn’t apologize for putting it out there.

For what’s it’s worth, Chael Sonnen said he knows 11 people Vince McMahon slept with, and 8 of them are women.
