This is the simplest version of the simplest enjine, it os called pulsejet engime, if you look carefully at the last second of ignition youll see the flame sort of oscillating back and forth, thats the moment where the pulsejet engine was operating

Vodka doesn’t burn like you think, the movies make it seem flammable . You need Bacardi 151 (151 proof 75.7 abv)or everclear thats 180 proof 90% abv (ABV= alcohol by volume) those burn like hell a 80 proof vodka (40% alcohol) wont burn.

Be careful, sometimes it can ignite completly and blow into a fireball. Also don't use glass containers they can explode as the pressure builds up. You can probably guess how I know this...

Made a little gun out of a plastic bottle and a tube and I used ethanol alcohol as the propellant. Instead of using actual fire I used the spark from a lighter's igniter. It's way more powerful that way. I loaded a shoe glue cap in it and it can penetrate like 10 layers of cardboard and at least 3 soda cans.(Thin metal)

we did too, we once got a mason jar woth a hole in the top, filled it 1/4 of the way with alcohol, and were really surprised when its pulsed, like it burned, expelled a flame, then the flame went back in when it drew some oxygen in, and it always kept doing that a bit. we tried finding a sweetspot but the longest it ever ran was about 5-10 secs

@@KriegsverbrechenGaming Makes sense. The fire burned so intensely, it ate all the immediately available oxygen, and then died down, which allowed more oxygen to come in, which reignited the flame, and so on.

I did this with a 100 gallon plastic drum and some gas many years ago. The flame lasted a good 6 seconds and was easily over 4 feet the sound was deafening, just like a jet engine! I honestly had no idea it would happen I came so close to looking directly into the hole to see what was going on but something told me not to im very thankful for it lol.

We use ethanol to sterilize medical equipment at home. A couple times my dad took one of the empty bottles (with ethanol residue left in it), set it horizontal on the kitchen island, and then lit it with a lighter for me and my siblings to watch. It shoots a short distance like a rocket. 😊

I remember my wild-ass 6th grade teacher who tied a string across the room with a straw over it, taped a bottle to the straw, and did the same thing... She made a missile out of her diet coke bottle as well as a fire hazard... We learned the shit out of ethanol being flammable that day.
