Tissington Hill. Not much I can say about this Ethel except Google Timeline says 4 mile out, 4 mile back. All that effort for an Ethel on private land which you can't see or get to. But it had to be done. Met some lovely people on the way.

It was a kiln where they used to process limestone. Thank you for commenting I really appreciate it. I didn't reach the one on the far hill but there are excavations of ancient settlements from the Bronze and Iron age nearby. Prehistoric man once roamed, lived and hunted in this area. Thank you again. I appreciate all comments and subscriptions.

Nice one, good walk and sadly not the most pointless Ethel (in my opinion). Thorpe Cloud is wonderful though!

Oh no Dan, don't tell me there is a longer hike with no access. I do get frustrated with the no access but abide by the rules. Anita who I hiked with yesterday went on to Chinley Churn. Another good hike for no access. One I've yet to tick off. Knees were done in. I have to agree with you though, Thorpe Cloud was wonderful. Thanks for watching and commenting Dan, really appreciate it.

Spoke to soon Chris ...thats my fault by watching the way I am...still Dovedale is amazing....I understand now what you mean completely by access to the Ethels...you have earnt that Ethel and having worked in the countryside for a very long time I had no idea what a sodding Ethel was until you subbed to our channel...I just thought it was trig points....have learnt a lot from your vids....I must add that I will not ask you to do backing vocals to my music though....only joking Chris....Cheers Lez.

Not a lot of people I've met have heard of The Ethel Challenge. I sort of fell across it. Yes, the singing in my head isn't quite picked by the mic properly. 🤔🙄😂 This was a very disappointing Ethel. It is the second longest hike to an unachievable Ethel. I can see why people do it. You hike for hours only to be 300m away from your goal. I did exercise self-restraint. The 88 Trig Point Challenge is the next one on my list to conquer. After a few nice leisurely hikes purely for pleasure. Yes, these are for pleasure, but they are also a target rather than a ramble if you get my drift. I've really enjoyed responding to all the questions Lez. Some people Sub and say they will watch but only Sub for the Quid Pro Quo. I really do appreciate your support Lez. Thank you for watching and commenting.
