When your heart shatters into a million pieces over what could've been, who it could of been, this song, along with I'd Rather Go Blind by Miss James....let's just say you'll cry all the way from Vegas to NYC, and the flight attendant will keep your Jack and Coke filled, and pat you on the shoulder every time she walks by.

I love her rendition of this song as well as Dorthy Moore's cover, which my mother would play over and over. As a child I wondered why mom played this song so much, however, I grew up and got first hand tour of heart break central and I understand all too well. The thick residue of love gone awry.

So much sadness in her voice on every single song she sings. Her emotions were real and for me its just heartbreaking. Such a troubled life and all i think she needed was someone to love her that she cld love. RIP QUEEN

Hi Everyone... I know there are Singers & Great Singers. Then there are the really good ones that just haven’t put the words together yet, or the Lyrics which are just as equal or I would dare to say that they cannot be out weighed from One an Another! It simply takes both & when 2 people or a Group come together and you hear it, you know “Instantly” that it’s Perfect. The Best Of Both Poetry, lyrics, Notes, Harmony if it is there. Etta was & still is One of my go too’s that are just a random thought to where I find myself listening to Etta for his Voice, Singing what she felt, & then to Achieve it with that God Given Voice! I love Etta’s Voice, What She Put in a Song, her God Given Talent, & her sharing her Soul with us, is a Blessing! On top of that, the Lady could Sing! Thank you for the Memories Etta. 😕🌹🙏

Its been over a year and I'm not sure where I stand. We have kept in communication via texts and phone calls. She left for Nashville and I stayed here in NC. I wanted to get married. I just had stuff to take care of before I wanted to take that leap again. Question: would you rather get married with max debt and worry. Baggage from another relationship or start with a clean slate to start your "own" baggage together? That's what I was doing. Trying to make a future for us, but she took some words of mine out of context and let it brew until she decided I wasn't going to "commit" and ended it. Almost 7yrs and its over in a blink. Its crazy to me.... pure stupidity in some aspects. But I guess I'll start letting go start to learn to let go, but it hurts like hell. Hurts to the core. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time or rewire my brain to forget.

@@christinevalle1977 thats the thing. She didn't stay. She had her reasons, which to me, did not fit. Her explanation was not valid. And she left. I tried to persuade her but ultimately she moved and now we are miles apart and each day time takes a little piece away. Each day a little more disconnect. But every day I'm reminded of her. Every day I feel like a fool. "Fools rush in, so here I am Very glad to be unhappy I can't win, but here I am More than glad to be unhappy...." I miss her and have told her over and over again. But I guess she's stoned faced and pushing forward. Just a really hard place to be.
