Hello Friends,
Euclid’s Division Lemma is explained by the rule a=bq+r, where “q” stands for quotient and “r” for remainder. Through this rule we can find out even HCF of two different numbers by writing in algorithm way.
Squares of any positive integer is of the form 3m, or 3m+1.
Verification of square numbers: example of 9 which is 3 square and 16 a square of 4.
3^2=9, 9=3x3= 3(m) form
4^2=16= 3x(5)+1 = 3m+1 form.
Hence Square of any positive integer is of the form 3m or 3m+1.
You can try the problem as same: *Use Euclid’s division lemma, show that square of any positive integer is of the form 5n, 5n+1 or 5n+4.
Thanks for watching.
