Spent a July morning exploring a new, beautiful stream in the Catskill Mountains of NY. I caught Browns, Brook Trout and Rainbows. The water temp was 60 degrees and almost all of the fish were in deep pocket water, with a few in some faster runs. The winning fly was a natural Walt's worm. Size 14 (3.3) and 16 (2.8). Copper bead and silver bead.
Finding those streams that have the right temps can be just as good in the summer as they are in the spring. This was no exception.
Hope you enjoy.
Tight lines!
