Mike I have to say, the colors in your videos always look fantastic. It really is apparent that whatever you and Olympus are doing with the colors is working very well!

Good job with the beaver, Mike. They have greatly expanded their range here, too. I've had several experiences with them, some of them startling when I was standing out the stream fishing and didn't suspect there was one around. I have photographed two of them sunning on the bank but that's a very unusual opportunity.

I envy the cormorant eating the Redfin perch. They are an introduced species into inland waterways in Australia. A freshly caught Redfin out of clear water is as nice as any fish. Brought back fond memories. Thanks.

Hi Mike, I think this is one of your best videos - to date. Your film footage and commentary are a joy to watch and listen to. I know lots of folks don’t like creepy-crawlies, but to see a spider close-up, going about its business, weaving its web, is fascinating to witness. I watched one close-up recently, a bit like the one in your film, weaving a perfect web in perfect light, just outside a garden room I’m currently building for my wife. I did have a go at filming it with my old mobile phone, but didn’t quite manage to capture the same quality that you do in your films. :) Hopefully, I’ll have another chance at it, once I get my own building work finished. If only I could work as efficiently as a spider. :)

Very nice. I grew up with a beaver in the attic... my dad was unlucky and killed a beaver with the car when it tried to cross the road one early morning, and we had it stuffed. There were beavers in the local river: they built a dam, and flooded the fields. Also, when we went fishing in a tiny lake which hosted beaver huts, they tended to splash their (flat) tails in the water when they got nervous, to warn other beavers. At my current employer, some beaver researchers have worked on a project to export beavers to Scotland, if I'm not wrong.

I'm glad your dedication and determination was rewarded with those very nice parent and kit beaver clips at the end of your video. I've never photographed a wild beaver before but have had an opportunity or two to photograph river otters. The only time I photographed one out of the water was when I followed the sound of crunching and found an otter on a bank eating a brim. Unfortunately, what was left of the brim was the last thing to go down the otter's gullet and I ended up with two pair of eyes, one fish and one belonging to the otter, looking at me in the photo. It was weirdly off-putting but I look forward to trying again and, possibly, getting results more like yours.

@@mjsmith8741 In the Mode that you use for your video setting- PASM -what is the Picture Mode setting for that Mode i.e i-enhance Vivid, Natural, muted etc. When you use 264 this is how you select the Picture Mode for the video. I have "264" selected in the video menu and P selected as Mode for my video and when configuring P in the MENU- Cam1/Tab 2 I selected Natural or Vivid as my Picture mode so my video records in the one I select. Make sure you have not selected Muted. Don't know why I have a line drawn through my text
