I’ve got too much stuff here... need to push everything to the side to be able to work on the bench haha... That AntBMS is AWESOME... there are a few models different size and shape, these are the small high power ones. The small 16s is 320A or 20s you can get 300 or 400A (this is peak). The only way you get to really use continuous power is getting on the highway and holding the throttle down for 5min or longer.... the SONY VTC6 I get from NKON I’m Europe and they’re €2.75 in quantity on their website but if you email them asking for bulk price like 1000 cells or more they bring I’t down a bit more =]

Your idea about making some videos showing a day of work is what I always had in mind but never actually got it done unfortunately... 95% of my work is confidential for companies blablabla I get to work with super fun stuff but at the same time I can't show to anyone which is really frustrating... but things are changing and companies are realising that showing the work is actually a good publicity for the company + I have been recently doing a lot more jobs on the side (this is the reason why I have disappeared for months) cause I have been too busy working on weekends and recording videos but no time to edit and upload. Hopefully in a few months I get to start posting my day of work... this is the ultimate plan haha ohhh yeaahhh... =]

I was going to say that as well.....and further to that, I'd inset the solar panels back into the factory roof so that box is recessed inside of the cabin..... although due to the solar panel size the box section would probably protrude in too close into the drivers cockpit; leaving little option other than to channel the floorpan or make a special seat. I'd say that someone probably intended to use the mini (being a panel van) as a form of 'camper' and probably wanted as much head room and rear space as possible? I see the boot space more as a huge 'battery compartment' haha so I'd ditch the solar panels and put them on the house and offset with additional batteries? Makes more sense to do that and if you want to do the "camping" thing, then build a small tow-able trailer (with it's own battery space) a generator & awnings made of solar panels 👍 Have your cake and eat it too! Cause I don't know anybody that has cake and just likes to look at it like it's an ornament or something? I think that behaviour is best reserved for people who build show cars with detailed underbodies that never drive and only get trucked too and from Autosalon or something like that lol

I see you mention battery cases and that the cheap ones are junk. It's a real issue I'm facing looking for a battery that will fit in my bike frame. I don't want something that will shake loose or break while going over jumps or bumps. Do you reckon the reention battery cases will be more durable? Or should I look into a custom solution?

Custom case solution is a very painful process, many times you’ll end up with something that’s not really waterproofed properly or not practical, the Reention is the best value case out there, stay away from Hailong... I’ve been to both factories in China... Reention is good

Yeeeaahhh mate.. I hear you... the best way I found to manage frustrating experiences like that is that there is always a positive side in everything. I also managed to destroy my first Bafang motor pretty quickly and back in the days there was ZERO information about how to troubleshoot and fix so I had to figure out myself, had to spend time researching... I learned so much and I posted all these videos here just to help people, KZitem wss so small back in 2015, I had no subscribers then suddenly I've got 10 subs.. 20.. 200... when I realised I had 2000 subs (this was massive back in 2015 and Google/KZitem invited me and other creators to help grow KZitem... suddenly from a frustrating broken motor I had a KZitem channel, then because of my youtube channel and the repairing motor videos I received an offer to quit my job and go to work for the Bafang distributor repairing motors here in Australia and NZ... looking back now if I never had a problem maybe I would've never be here talking to you and other thousands subs...
@BrunoPOWEEER
4 жыл бұрын
Anyway, did u try to troubleshoot and figure out if the battery is the problem or motor controller is the problem? Get a multimeter and see if you have battery voltage, if not, its probably battery (faulty low cell or faulty fried BMS) or if battery is showing normal voltage it must be fried motor controller

can you mod a bosch ebike motor ie hack the software ;)
@BrunoPOWEEER
4 жыл бұрын
Software is too difficult, easier replacing and fitting another motor controller instead. You can easily hack the magnetic speed sensor by removing the sensor from the frame and place it facing the pedal crank/shaft. Then you install a small magnet there and the sensor now reads your cadence instead of wheel speed. That means you’ll be riding like 40-50kmh and the motor things you’re only doing 20kmh and keeps pumping power trying to make you go faster

35mph is pretty awesome on a little road legal Bosch motor... more amps I'm not too sure someone hacked and made the hack available for others... the next step may be fitting a new controller but that required you to be brave and perform a little electrical madness surgery... maybe keep on researching if you can find someone who hacked the amps on the original controller.. any small increase like even 2 or 3 amps makes difference, ideally 5 more amps =]

@BrunoPOWEEER

Just a quick story how these honeycomb cell holders started in Poland and now you can get them from China... Yeah nowadays you can find the Chinese copy available but back in Nov/Dec 2018 when I first showed them instagram.com/p/Br2XMdkFoIt/?igshid=1p1gqb18s1829 and started talking about and posting links in multiple battery building forums you couldn’t find it anywhere! You also couldn’t find any suitable stamped nickel tabs neither! This American guy that follows me on Facebook and sells battery build supplies, saw my posts, contacted me and I sent some to him and he ended up sending to his Chinese manufacturer to get some made and . A few months after that these started showing up on Aliexpress. This is how it works, they copy and mass manufacture and no one ever knows or credits the original makers.

@@BrunoPOWEEER dude you are so right! It's a real shame that the original labour, efforts and costs of R&D are never offset by people's spending! The developers are the ones that loose out, cause customers looking at building and developing their own projects (using parts like battery holders for example) are only trying to reduce the cost of their project and naturally it makes sense; that if there's 2 products and both the same or similar in quality and Part A is ⅓ more expensive than Part B, then naturally people will buy the cheaper one. It makes me sad actually 🙁 I really hate to say this, but unfortunately Donald Trump is right! This is what goes on each and every day around us. Consumers are oblivious/ignorant or care little......until one day they make something really cool that they decide they want to prototype, then change and prototype again, then improve, then refine and the hours upon hours of their lives are chewed up in getting something to a point where they feel it is production worthy! Something they feel is ready for consumer acceptance. It hits the market and then they face consumer acceptances, longevity testing and possibly a long road of consumer requests for improvements etc etc. 2 months later no more sales? WTF? Then only to discover that some nobody on AliExpress or Banggood has 3000 listed quantity of your design selling for peanuts 🤬 And here you are, rushing around trying to set up a website with shopping cart access etc for customers whilst trying to get production efficiency up to deal the high demand..... The little guy is there spinning plates trying to deal with all this, he's burnt out and now he's robbed blindly by someone in China who's got access to huge production facilities and a team of hundreds of tech engineers who are experts in reverse engineering electronics! This is the reality that most people choose to ignore! Personally I hope that this Morrison gov puts tariffs so high that people can't afford to buy the Chinese parts and it forces people to consider buying and supporting the ones that developed these things for everyone to use and enjoy! End rant
