Thank you so much for explaining the concepts in an understandable way. Amazing videos. It would be nice to see the WWM and MSM side-by-side for comparison and evaluation too.

So glad to read that the videos have helped your understanding. Really appreciated your encouraging feedback 👍 And thanks too for the suggestion of future content. If I can ask, what’s got you wanting a comparison between the two models?

@@BearitinMIND It’s easier to retain visual representation and information of models side-by-side. Really appreciate your evaluation points 👌🏼 Basically, comparing and contrasting helps with seeing the gaps and advantages of models from a wider perspective, if that makes sense? That’s just my view though.

@@priyam433 Yep - I get you :) I thought you may want a comparison for a specific kind of assessment/exam question/project etc. and I was interested in what that might be.

what issue and debates could be use to evaluate this?

Good question - there are a few possibilities, but I might go for idiographic vs. nomothetic. In terms of the Working Memory Model (Cognitive Psychology) it has elements of both. This is because the working memory model is trying to produce a generalised law about how our memory works and applying this all people. This is a strength because it is in tune with scientific psychology (e.g. Paulesu's lab based research) On the other hand, with the evidence from individuals (e.g. case study of KF) you also have the benefit of an idiographic approach. In fact, one of the strengths of an idiographic approach is that it can challenge a nomothetic theory and lead to progress in our understanding of human behaviour. For example, the case study of KF challenged the nomothetic theory of the multi-store model which led to the development of the working memory model. So, in summary you could argue that the Working Memory model demonstrates both the idiographic and nomothetic approaches to investigating human behaviour and how it demonstrates the benefits of adopting both of those approaches. Hope that helps :) For more ideas with the debates check out this comparison document I've made free for students: www.bearitinmind.org/a-level-psychology
