I know this video gives us options if we have trouble affording top grade batteries, I would like to know what to expect if I use them in my van setup - such as, realistically they perform like a 180Ah and not a 230Ah battery. This allows me to weigh the pricing against top quality 180Ah cells. The capacities are a bit on the low side for this brand, EVE. Plus, I would like to see a high discharge test, best would be each cell and then 12v battery. Cells / batteries can pass a low discharge but will fail miserably when capacity is asked of them under high currents. Practical use is what your channel is about, so built batteries will be having lighting, inverters, pumps etc running off them. Thanks for trying these out.

Agreed. I want 16 cells wired for 48v for my van.

5A discharge current for a 230Ah cell, thats lame. The manufacturer claiming 230Ah @0.5C. so use 230*0.5 = 115 A of discharge current. (Because we all know, by increasing discharge current less juice we can extract from the cell) And one more idea is that attempt to discharge them at 1C and at 2C rates as well.

Put the neg and POS charger Cables opposite not same side you'll get a quicker equalize

@@nomanshah6761 if both cables are on one battery that battery will get more amps than the ones after it in parallel, same as if you filled parallel buckets of water cascading into each other it can be a problem if you regularly charge and discharge batteries like this because they end up unequally sharing current and so you will have them at varying states of charge this isnt much of a concern for this type of test though

Nice test, i know its not what you'd want but you would think these suppliers would test and match the cells before sending them out knowing you were going to test them on video., sort of gives the impression they either don't care or don't know anything about the product 🤔

Never ever leave those capacitors and rely on their cutoff voltage. I left that identical capacitor to run on one of my eve280 cells and it failed to stop upon the set voltage and blew two of my cells up like water melons!

hi, would you be able to do an experiment with a 15 cell battery (like a pylontech or home made) and a 16 cell with a pacebms. I have 80kW with the Pace (8 batteries) and 37kW with pylontech (11 x us2500C); what happens for me is: when both are connected, only the pace discharges unless the load is extreme (like 10kW, then the pylontech will take a very small % of the load, maybe 5%), If i turn the Pace off and allow the Pylon to discharge as its the only bank, when i turn the pace back on, it dumps whatever it has into the pylon to take that back to 100%. the batteries are connected as follows: 6 pylon, 4 pace to a lynx power in, 5 pylong 4 pace to a second lynx power in, then a lynx shunt , then a lynx distributor which has 3 inverters (voltronic 11kW) the shunt is the aggregator for the battery stats, with the pace connected via can to a cerbo and the pylontech connected to solar assistant for data, i also use SA to monitor the inverters. any insight appreciated.

Thanks for the vid. I am tempted to give these cells a try. But with the recent e-bike fires in the news, I wonder how safe these battery cells are going to be? I wouldn't my camper to burn down in a fire.

Additional info: The cells typically used in eBike batteries are Lithium Ion OR Lithium Ternary OR Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt (Lithium NMC) cells. All different names for the same cell type. These are Lithium Iron Phosphate cells. Lithium NMC are also used in BEV cars.

Lifepo4, it is Lithium Iron (Ferum) Phospate, Not Lithium Ion Phosphate. Lithium Ion mostly used in cellphone, ebike, smartwatch an Tesla (Panasonic cell ev)
