She’s still dead, but what’s fascinating is that her body might be possessed by an A.I, which is apart of a weird sub-plot that will probably show up in a sequel sometime down the road. What I mean by this is look at her eyes, there bright neon blue. In one of the base game endings you end up sitting down with a man in a corpo suit with Bright Blue eyes. Supposedly, he’s a ‘rouge’ A.I of some sort.

@@EzioMaverickNo she didn't, she basically gave all the info about who hired Evelyn and walked you through all the clues, without her help you wouldn't even know about the role of the Voodoo Boys in the heist. If she wanted to take care of any loose ends she would just not mention the recordings she found or install a translator to translate the phone calls. It's the total opposite of taking care of loose ends.

Its a bug from a trick they used to stop her body from gibbing and rag dolling in comedic fashion.

It's kinda bizarre that they need a trick to pull this shit off in their OWN engine. Like, you'd think they wouldn't be that lazy and would just not simulate her body at all

@@pretzelboi64 Bethesda had to create non-playable characters with train model heads running at high speeds in their own engine to make the trains work properly. So, things aren't always straightforward in game development. In a recent video, possibly for the release of The Witcher 3's REDKit mod tool, a Cyberpunk 2077 developer mentioned that the train used in the Panam quest is actually several cars aligned to give the impression of a whole train moving forward at the same speed. Whether these are due to engine limitations (possibly why they switched to Unreal 5), time constraints (due to investor pressure to rush the game), or just everyday game development challenges, we may never know.

@@Gabrilos505 That's cool but Unreal Engine doesn't solve any of those problems. It's a renderer and the code for any entity/system will need to be written from scratch just like it would in any other engine. Btw, the train in Panam's mission is hardly something strange. That's actually what a real train is and any programmer with a brain would model it that way so that individual train cars can rotate with the rail's curvature. Not a hack at all

The first sentence in the title (Evelyn is alive, Judy is lying) just filled me with dread. One sentence horror type shit.

Wonder if it could be a bug, but at the same time, when have a deceased body ever moved it's eyes in the game. I think it's very possible that she is alive, but Judy covered it up because she knows that V would do anything to get answers out of her. So the two of them extract some BD's. But just enough for V to figure out what they wanted to know. Question is if Evelyn is still in Night City, or if she left. Unless more evidence can be found through shards or data entries, the eyes moving, is probably just a bug or a weird render animation not kicking in in time. I wonder if Judy's sadness animation was there when you got close to the apartment, or if that also kicked in when Evelyn's eyes closed. Could you do some freecam magic to see what's going on?

It doesn't make any sense that she took herself out. Sure, her memories are bad, but with cyberware being linked directly into the brain, I think you can probably remove those bad memories, rendering them completely unaware that they ever experienced the horror she went through. Interesting mystery nonetheless.

Why wouldn't you be suprised? Do you realize how hard it would be to fake your death in a world like Cyberpunk? Where everyone has a scanner preinstalled into their eyeballs, lol, plus she had no motives
