I'm back at London City, for a short 2 hour visit. A lot has changed here since my last spotting visit in early 2020. Flybe have ceased. Aer Lingus no longer operate with the Avro's, TAP have pulled out, all that is left now is a large number of E190s, and yes, this video is pretty much all E190. It's a shame that the airline variety has gone down hill due to covid, London City use to be a great place to catch regional airliners
Anyway, one aircraft that stood out for me was my first time seeing an E190-E2 in use at London City. This aircraft is currently operating in place of the A220, I'd imagine due to lower loads. A perfect clear afternoon as well until about 20 minutes before leaving when low grey clouds rolled in. The clouds made a lovely looking backdrop of the urban jungle that is Canary Wharf
Anyway, apologies that there isn't much variety in this video. I probably wont be spotting here for some time until more airlines have resumed, it's a shame as London City use to have a nice variety of regional jets, ATR's, Dash 8's, Avro's etc. Just a sign of the times as we move towards a post covid, more greener world
