Ok, I must be an evening primrose! I seem to always come alive at night, and I love to sleep during the day. Not always but that's more my norm or internal clock. Thank you for sharing

Our Evening Primrose had a huge flowering in the Summer and all shot out side stocks and a whole second flowering going on. Been watching to collect the seeds but been eating the flowers when out there. The pollinators have been loving them. The spiders also have some good webs to catch the pollinators and stuff on them.

Thx very much for the great video and with showcasing evening primrose. I wasn't aware that one could safely eat the root, so thx for mentioning that. In the Chinese 5 Elements, this plant carries a Wood vibration, which nourishes the liver and oversees liver functions. Of course, this is a wonderful, healing plant, esp for those who have a low percentage of Wood vibration in their body chemistry. For those with a high percentage of Wood vibration already present in their chemistry, then this would not be the best choice for a healing herb. This person would be better off using another herbal remedy in another one of the 5 Elements that they have a low percentage of. 🏋️♥️

Better research it. I heard you have to boil it a few times to make it edible.

I’m kind of wondering and I’ll investigated after I asked this question… I wonder if the monarch butterflies, that are going extinct, like those as much as common milkweed?
@EdibleWildFood-1

I've not seen monarchs on evening primrose. They do like Joe Pye weed, Canada goldenrod, and the Meadow blazing-star.
