As a 82 year old Grandfather, it was great to meet your mom Jim. I have been married for 56 years and my wife is a Registered nurse (Retired) now working as our church Bookkeeper !! I have ALWAYS had a deep respect for Moms !! They are indeed to be respected, and well looked after !! As you know Jim, you have an absolutely fabulous, hard-working wife in Brenda !! Seems that your daughter Abby, takes after her mom and is also an amazingly hard worker !! I love her channel, too !! Keep up your wonderful channel and may God Bless your entire family !! 🙏😄

Chicky and I are both 88, love the Lord and His Word,. and attribute long healthy lives to His grace. She is a beautiful Senior, and I note that Jim carries her looks (and I KNOW her Christian faith.) Now Brenda, it's your turn and we will be watching. I believe your Mom lives just up the road. And yes, I love to watch skippy.

Jim and Brenda, Thank you for the opportunity to meet your wonderful Mom. She is a very kind and talented woman . It was wonderful for to relate to us viewers a few great happenings from Jim's younger days. Jim was born to be a great horseman. Which was generational . The wonderful memory of Jim's Dad Harry, first working with Jim's Brother to learn logging with a porter was great then when Jim graduated from high school Harry switched back to logging with horses so Jim could perfect his knowledge of horse logging . It's so obvious to me that with such wonderful parents .and their example of kindness and support really provided Jim a leg up on life .

Thank you Brenda and Jim for sharing your lives with us. The flowers will be lovely by the pond. Skippy is exactly how a puppy should behave, I had a Schipperke female and she too was a bundle of energy, as well as a herder. All of the horses that I rescued unconditionally were keepers, though I have retired from rescue, I still have my one and only horse (Alex) Alexander and he just turned 33. God bless you and yours... 🙏🏼

I LOVE your attitude toward your horses! When you let them live out their entire lives on your farm, they become family. I would do the same. We actually do the same, we just don't have big animals. For us, LG dogs, cats and chickens are it. I don't understand people who don't share our attitude, love and loyalty for their animals. IMO, animals know more than most humans suspect! 🐶🐱🐔❤❤🙏🙏

I thoroughly enjoyed today’s visit with Jim’s mother. She certainly has a grip on life even at her age. I would never worry about what folks might think of your opinions Mom because without God to center and balance us we are directionless…much like the world today! I also wouldn’t get too awful upset and lose any much needed rest over Skippy because as he grows he will settle into farm life. Being part blue heeler will always make Skippy want to herd and guide the farm animals. He’ll learn what the other animals will and won’t tolerate of that I am certain. Brenda…your comments about your mother-in-law were so precious and I’m always glad to hear of good healthy relationships with in-laws but my opinion has always been you get out what you invest in with any relationship. I too had a great mother-in-law who like yours lived a very long life and worked as a librarian up to her 88th birthday. She lived to almost 90. I’m enjoying the extra visits and the content is just fine. Just a little mix to the farm goings on. Looking forward to what might be in the next visit but whatever you share with us…it’ll be good!!!:):):)

Jim your mum seems to be a wonderful woman and brought you up well. Common sense seems to be the order of the day. Keep it going hand it on . As for the dog my only concern was to stop him chasing the cows. If they come into calf you could have a lot of problems. My advice is to nip that in the bud early. Good luck to you and your family. Brenda more power to your elbow. You’re great.

Thank you Jim and Brenda. I enjoyed meeting your Mom vicariously through your video. She is a sweetheart. I think her faith in Christ is strong and that has showed itself in the way you and your family live. I enjoy your videos on working with your horses but also on meeting your family. I have viewed some of Abby’s videos of working on her house, videos with both your daughters singing (very good voices by the way). You haven’t had much with Trudy and I pray she is okay. You shouldn’t feel that you have to show a video of Trudy, it isn’t any of my business. I just hope she is fine. Frankly if roles were reversed I would likely keep my private and family life to myself. Keep up the good work. I don’t watch all your videos but I do watch most of them and enjoy them very much. May God keep you and yours.

If you could do another interview sometime with your mom and talk about a lot of the things that you’ve done in your childhood the things you enjoy doing I know you enjoyed working with horses, but did you build forward? Did you have friends in your neighborhood or in your area nearby where you live that you did things together things like this that you may have done I think that would be great to know more about your childhood

Wonderful video! The question about matching horses was good. I had a pair of horses, used them as leaders in a 4 up, and always drove them together, I just lost the one and am now working through the process of trying to make a big slow gelding work with a big fast mare, and it presents a challenge for sure. My boy is more of a "Ken", easygoing and slow, but strong like a bull, the mare is like a bull too, but a lot more snort and paw to go with it. They trot fine together when fresh or tired and you could drive them in a hitch in the ring together, but drop down a gear and hook on a steady load for a few hours and the difference jumps out at you. Your Mom seems like a beautiful and talented lady. Even younger people could learn a lot by listening to her.
