@@ninetendopesaitama2107 That's a very niche platform you either have to build yourself or buy pre-built for $500+. Not even close to the same market or convenience. Nice to see that this ended up as such a nice little system. While I could easily emulate most of these on one of my current machines, this seems to be such a nice, compact and easy to use 'under the TV' style solution that it seems like a very tempting proposition. Sure, it's no PS5 - but then it costs less than half the price of a PS5 (or less than 1/4 when allowing for scalping).

I love the Evercade because of their lesser known, rarer titles that they include in the collections. Piko Interactive Vol. 1 is my all time favorite. 20 games for $20 and a lot of them (such as Dragon View on the SNES) would cost a fortune trying to attain them singly. I want the guys at Blaze to add in random game select for the two cartridges. Imagine you and a friend each insert a cart and you don't know what to play first. You can select a game randomizer and run local tournaments seeing how skilled each player really is. I think that would make for an awesome firmware update. Loving what I am seeing so far. Thanks for the review!

I really liked the idea of this when it comes to buying licenses games, cuz a lot of gamers don't want to pirate there favorite games and show support. Seems like a pretty solid product. I'm glad that the company is having success and that these games are being preserved and re-introduced to new generations. anyone really has to ask the question why buy this over an emulator, will never understand why we would want it. It's simple. Retro enthusiast's. Physical cartridges. Having a manual and looking through all the pages, and smelling the book for the first time. Popping in a game, and displaying the cases on a shelf. Physically preserving history. It gives us old people an overdose of dopamine, and makes us feel like we are five years old again for a few hours.

The collector in me does love seeing all those carts. I pre-ordered a Founders VS System (in black) to match my black limited edition handheld. One thing you didn't mention in the video - the Evercade handheld can be used as a controller too, using a link cable (there is one in the Founders box, and also available separately). And according to Evercade's social media accounts, putting in certain combinations of two cartridges will unlock something extra - much like the old Konami carts for the MSX where you could unlock stuff, or the Sonic & Knuckles lock-on tech. Can't wait to try that out...

I had ordered the Founders Edition and I'm very excited to do my own unboxing! Although I do hope they get the Namco cartridges sorted out. I get that they don't wanna pay extra to license those cartridges on the VS. But since it was included in the UK handheld package, and especially since it doesn't display an error message when inserted. I think the confusion about it may well be pretty bad. With that said, they've got alot of great cartridges out (twenty plus) and more on the way to play!
