Photo Charters are a strange event. You spend lots of money well in advance to forget about the event. When the time comes, your organizer sends you updates, building up the hype and you slowly grow excited. For my first experience with HTP, small details would be placed around the Everett Railroad to recreate the feel of a steam era branch line train. The motive power was ex-Bath and Hammondsport 11, a 2-6-0 built for the export market that never left American soil. Fitted with 475's headlight from the 1990s and marker lights, the locomotive looked almost identical to its in-service days. The consist consisted of newly restored PRR X31A 77815, a rescue from the Indiana Transportation Museum, PRR X29 571060, and an Combine 23, an ex-B&LE Combination coach. Sit trackside and watch a full day's worth of action on Blair County's finest shortline.
