The class of these 2 men, compared to today's managers, and sets of fans, is unbelievable! It puts today's managers and fans to shame!!!

how it should be two local rivals pushing each other to be best, no bitchy animosity trying to bring each other down which is consensus among most rival fans everywhere in world

A very poignant bit of footage. I was an LFC fan in the Gladys St end that night, there was no segregation and no need for it. It was the week before Heysel. Everything changed for both clubs after that and it’s very sad to see these very decent fellas who were great ambassadors for their clubs. Worse for the families of the fans who died of course.

It's just unfortunate that managers like Klopp now spend their time trying to wind up other supporters to cover their own failings. Liverpool have fallen a long way from the days of Shankley, Paisley and Fagan.

The whole game has changed. Check out Joe's interviews after winning in Bilbao in 1983 and after clinching the title with a 0-0 at Notts County 1984. Brilliant interviews. Honest men. A great generation. The game gone global has lots its cosiness.

How have Liverpool fallen a long way since then when they have won everything under Klopp in the last four years? I think you mean Everton. Look how far they have fallen. As far as the next division down by May

What a nonsensical post. The game has changed. Management, etc, has changed with it.

So you think that Klopp making accusations that a referee doesn’t like him; comments like ‘he looks at me funny’ is indicative of modern day management? Have a word with yourself you absolute cretin.

He had planned to retire at the end of the season. Unfortunately, Heysel tainted the memory of a fantastic career.

Who’d have thought this would be Joe Fagans last ever game in England and second to last ever.
