Highly preferred this type of video with more detailed explanations. It makes it easier to spot those I would love to read vs not, since it gives more of your opinion on it based on your tastes. I really enjoyed listening to your reviews of these books.:)

Chateau is a French castle; you probably have found the word in some books, not only French ones. Many gothic novels mentioned chateaus instead of castles, for instance.

Loved Boys in the Valley, was a bit concerned as it was really hyped up but for one it lived up to it.

Mixing first person and third person narratives in the same book feels like lazy writing to me...😅

Hi love this style of describing the books. Makes me really want to read them. I was surprised to hear that you live in L A. Is that your hometown? Would love to hear about your background. Did you tell your story somewhere that I missed it?

Forgive me if you've said it in a previous video that I might have missed, but what's the notebook you use to take notes on your reading? It looks like it has a specific format and I'm curious as I have been taking notes when I finish books too. I'm pretty sure a chateau is a French hotel, maybe of a higher-class type I want to say?

You’re the only person I watch on booktube that has had so many good things to say about Nineteen Claws. Maybe I will pick it up now lol.

I prefer these videos with a spoiler-free deeper analysis because your opinions and notes help me decide on which books to add to my ever-growing TBR. There’s too many books and not enough time! So narrowing it down to ones that have high recommendations are the ones that make the list. Thank you for the great video, can’t wait to pick up Boys in the Valley!

The notes were really helpful. You did a great job with the reviews and giving more analysis vs mostly plot summaries.

I agree with your assessment of 'Tender is the Flesh'. I believe the content was presented in a mundane way because for the "in book universe", the content has become mundane. What occurs day to day has become so commonplace that it doesn't bear looking at it in any other way, it's just another day. I believe some people may have struggled with the novel due to it not originally being written in English, there were some instances where the writing itself may not have translated as well for English speaking readers.

Would you ever do a video about horror films you enjoy/don’t enjoy? Maybe book vs film videos? I’d love it!
