I think a bit of reverb and mixing!! I was thinking the sound quality is much better than usual - obviously they are both amazing and talented but the room that they are normally in doesn’t create the same sound resonating as a nice big hall or smth

Love it when you guys just play and give space for your own musicality, years of practice and the piece itself to shine. Would love to hear more video compiling your playings. Ngl, this video and the part 2 ones deserve more views because it is so beautiful and the production value to get where you can play it today is a long journey. Thank you Brett and Eddy and I hope to see more of this from you. A lot of these pieces I just realized I actually have heard about them with this particular part before but couldnt remember the name. Now I do and will look it up soon!

I feel like only violinists really pay attention to air on g string, most people will better recognise Bach for his Tocatta and Fugue in D minor or Prelude in C Edit: or his cello suite no.1 prelude in G Another edit: the Brandenburg concertos are amazing but unfortunately I don't think they're necessarily as famous compared to some of his other pieces

@BinhNam1

Which ones?
@ahumanmerelybeing
3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I felt like they are maybe the most famous to musicians, but I think a lot of non-musicians would have picked something else for some of these composers. For instance, I'd argue for something from the Nutcracker for Tchaikovsky, because it appears in every Christmas movie, commercial, playlist, radio station . . . even if you've never listened to classical music before, you've heard the Nutcracker. Or that big dramatic swell in the Romeo and Juliet love theme, because that appears (usually as a joke) in all sorts of media.
@caman5
3 жыл бұрын
@@BinhNam1 a good example would be Bach. His cello suite or his fugues in Gm/Dm are easily more recognizable. I’d even argue that his piece “Sarabande” might be better known. That’s not to say their example wasn’t a piece Bach is famous for. It just wasn’t his MOST famous IMO. As for Beethoven, Moonlight Sonata 1st movement might be more well-known. These lists are largely subjective, and I was simply voicing that I wouldn’t agree with EVERY selection.
