@@spongmongler6760A Class Act is a good thing. The only time it's used negatively is in an ironic/sarcastic comment. For example, if someone purposefully farted loudly at a funeral to be funny, someone might say "Oh yeah, he's a real class act" as sarcasm. Alternatively if someone accepts an award and are very gracious and humble about it, (let's say Keanu Reeves in this instance) You would say "Wow, he's such a class act." Hopefully that explains the terminology better!

My favorite is when they hit a static wooden board as hard as possible, because swords are historically known for hitting objects that have no give, certainly not something like the human body.
@v2danny925

You do realise that shields exist, and are usually big wooden boards, so if your sword hits a shield and breaks then it's useless. So yes swords are historically known to hit solid objects
@mistertwister2000
Жыл бұрын
@@v2danny925 You do realize that when hitting a shield the human holding the shield will move from the impact? I’m not talking about swords never hitting hard material, I’m talking about the fact that swords didn’t hit targets that didn’t absorb any impact at all like the wooden planks they use. Even the toughest shield still has give just due to the physics of the human body.
@v2danny925
Жыл бұрын
@@mistertwister2000 Against a braced shield, I don't think it's enough give to matter at all
@solsystem1342
7 ай бұрын
@@v2danny925if you get into the physics of why some things feel hard it's mostly determined by the give/if it breaks. For instance, inflated airbags feel soft compared to plastic because air bags bring you to a stop slower. Then steel feels harder than wood or plastic because steel is at a tiny scale like a stiff spring. Everything has at least a tiny give when you hit it because it needs to move to absorb the energy of the object that hit it. So you could definitely argue hitting wood block is a fair stress test. Regardless of if is modeling anything specific. Sword on sword hits would provide much greater forces than even that test.
