YES!!!! Zack coming through again with another video for the Screamers. Excellent breakdown of the movie references, as always. The one thing I would like to touch on is Randy incorrectly quoting "Aliens" in the film class, as that one really used to bother me. Obviously, it's completely out of character for Randy to miss that line. I've read before that Joshua Jackson accidentally said Randy's line by mistake and Jamie Kennedy said the wrong line and ad-libbed "This is film class, right?" to cover up the error. The other actors' laughter was genuine, so it was kept in the film. Fair enough. However, it occurred to me recently that Randy's misquote, coupled with his admitted disdain for sequels in general, can be construed as Randy having far less knowledge about sequels than he would have us believe, and his intentional, snobbish ignorance of sequels suggested that he is not prepared to deal with a real-life sequel, and is actually foreshadowing of his death.
@craigjones1946

They should’ve made direct references to Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981), Halloween II (1981), Psycho II (1983), and A Nightmare on Elm Steeet 2: Freddy’s Revenge (1985). Those would’ve been the most notable slasher sequels up to that point.

The difference to me between thriller and horror is that a thriller focuses on the search for the killer, a horror focuses on the victims trying to survive the killer. When it’s a cop trying to find a killer that turns out to be a demon or some other paranormal entity, then that becomes a combination depending on how fucked up it is haha.

Hey Zack man all those horror movies that have a scene taking place at a movie theater. I have no idea those movies existed. I always found movie theater scenes fascinating because our fictional characters are doing what we doing watching a movie. Also “Alien” is definitely a horror movie because it’s pretty much “Jaws” set in outer space. It’s just it’s follow up “Aliens” is more action pack with some of the horror elements because Mr. Cameron took things in another direction, turning Ripley into a female warrior

One thing I always wondered when watching Scream 2 was how Gale knew the events of what happened to Casey Becker? How did she, how could she possibly know what happened scene by scene? Unless she had an inside contact with the police department who, unbeknownst to her, was actually there being a lookout for Billy and Stu and just passed the info off as what forensic analysis would depict what happened at the scene…
@chrissidimartino6110
3 жыл бұрын
I've always wondered this too! How would anyone know exactly what happened to Casey (and Steve)? There's a lot you could figure out (she started making popcorn, she was on the phone, police would be able to map out some of the struggle based on debris/blood) but how would anyone know specifics?? Unless Billy and Stu recorded it or wrote it down somewhere.
@beccanashville2919
11 ай бұрын
If thr stu is still alive theory can be used, she could've talked to stu and the police couldve found the burnt popcorn. Along with the fact that Casey had the phone with her, it shows she was called. But for specifics definitely stu maybe
@ShadowSora8491
8 ай бұрын
I assume that Gale gained access to the police report of the double-homicide of Steve Orth and Casey Becker (the police might've been able to piece together what happened, based on the evidence found at the crime scene), possibly through Dewey, and she may've even interviewed the Becker's to get their side of the story, which would include details such as the burned popcorn (Casey's mom found the Jiffypop on fire and put it out in the sink). While the shower scene was obviously added to the movie, it could've also been added to Gale's book for flare (just like how she described Kenny's death in the book, different to how Kenny was actually killed). Plus, unless it's included in some sort of special feature or deleted scene, we don't even see if the fictional Stab movie even included the trivia leading up to Steve's death.
