He’s THE most overrated musician ever. “He’s never played a solo the same way twice”...... neither has my cat when he slaps his tail against the strings. Hitting sour notes, banging pots and pans, and planning to improvise music almost always results in unbearable sonic torture. I’m not opposed to esoteric creativity, but if your creative efforts are completely underwhelming every single time... there just MIGHT be a lack of talent behind the charade. Whenever The Replacements are mentioned I feel the need to tell this story...During the mid-1980's Iowa State University's radio station was close to having their funding cut which would have crippled the station. They put together a quick concert of local acts to get the word out. Borrowing the previous acts instruments, The Replacements showed up unannounced and did a few songs. I was thinking the same about Slipknot, I saw a performance from them on Kimmel a couple of years ago and even he was just staring into oblivion like "wtf is happening right now????"😂😂😂 and that's Kimmel, late late night is considerably more loose than SNL with that kind of stuff.
For more SNL, check out our playlist!: kzitem.info/news/bejne/mJCDvaOak4l_g6Q Would YOU want to see any of these artists return to "SNL?" Let us know in the comments!

Didn't Aerosmith get banned for performing "Monkey On My Back" complete with F-bomb? That was the one I actually saw live. When the episode reran the word was cut.

She hasn't been very popular in the USA for a long time, but she has still released albums and toured about once every 4 years or so.

She was protesting child sexual abuse in the Catholic Church...she didn't deserve to lose her career over it! She was trying to tell us what was going on..but we didn't listen!

How come all the musicians seem to get banned in the October episodes? Somehow, I don't think that's a coincidence

I've read that when Elvis Costello changed the song Lorne Michaels flipped Costello the bird for the entire performance.

FEAR's performance on SNL was the second best musical act on the show, after Prince's final performance. No one outdoes Prince.

I remember seeing it live and one of the band was asking the crowd "Will you be my friend?" and giving each a dollar.

WatchMojo should do a “Top Ten Times WatchMojo Made Videos That Talk About Musicians Banned From SNL.” There would be 5 honorable mentions too.
