According to Dust Giants Redux it is only 5 notes long and the note pattern reminds me of the Witness theme more than the Pyramid theme. The Traveler theme is 7 notes long and has the "opposite" but similar pattern to the Darkness theme, just like how the Hive turned the Life Song into the Death song by flipping it.

Hearing the classic theme slowly evolve as time goes on feels like watching Guardians develop with the moment. Even now, as The Final Shape approaches and even The Traveler´s agenda is put under examination, Guardians will rise up to defend humanity and its allies from total erasure once more. With new power and understanding, more prepared than ever before. I like how much more common it seems to become as expansions have been rolled out. It is our theme, our horns.

Don't know if it's been mentioned before but I love that every time it appeared in D1, the motif was played on a french horn (except Sepiks Perfected). Then the first time we hear it in D2, it's played from a trumpet. It's taken on a new meaning to reflect that what it means to be a Guardian has changed as well. And from that moment on we hear it as many other instruments, from the strings to woodwinds and later synth. Each time, it's a reflection of how much we've changed as Guardians. And yet through that change, our core values remain the same. Our roots are firmly planted in that very first horn performance.
