Yea, he's refering to the SOP towards civilians by americans. Rape, torture and massacres which were pretty common by american soldiers who did towards vietnamese civilians and that media don't show. That's why vietnamese civilians show hostility towards american soldiers who "protects" them. People won't get the reference since he's not putting much emphasis on it. Since Jarhead missunderstands a lot, let me clarify that these reasons are why more south vietnamese civilians joined the north vietnamese in order to fight american soldiers. But no Jarhead, the american soldiers did that to south vietnamese civilians too. My Lai Hill 192 SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) which is american, not a north vietnamese thing 🤦♀️ you're too far on copium bud, you really think americans are heroic race that have pure hearts? Edit: you can watch testimony by american soldiers since media wants to lie to american patriotic civilians about what really happened You can search those videos on youtube: -Vietnam war#3(rape&murder) -Vietnam war body count was just bullshit For those who are arguing about kill counts: The second video really explains about why there's conflict on the real kill count. In summary, the VC kill counts were inflated. Indeed the main people who died were civilians since american soldiers killed them to inflate vc kill count(that's basically what happened in My Lai and many other uncovered cases). The truth is american soldiers were not the main fighters, it was south viet and you can add the allied forces like australia and yet suffer lot of casualties for their ratio due to lack of experience and necessary skills as well as bad strat due to incompetent commandants despite having superior equipments. That's why so many people criticise american system of education, they only feed you copium They also don't teach fact that american help the pol pot massacre cambodian but China and Vietnam play part of it too. Vietnam wanted to put an end to that insane regime and the US as well as China were against it. But vietnam just did it anyway so China attacked vietnam and China suffered massive lost despite fighting only border guards which wasn't even the main force, so they retreat. China censored that part of history and don't even teach their students about conflict against vietnam and the many times they've lost. US and China are quite similar in that department, they sugar coat history.

@@epicstyle160 Sure, but they only did so because they were being publicly criticized and being demanded to apologize. They still leave out their atrocities from school textbooks, twist what happened and lie about how many suffered in historical books, many Japanese scholars and historians publicly deny the crimes, and many Japanese politicians have also denied the crimes. They also barely donated any money, while Germany has donated over 90 billion in reparations. Japan killed almost as much as Nazi Germany if we presume Germany killed 15 million people(Although that number could be way higher). Sure, it's disgusting, never said otherwise. Just because something is justified doesn't mean it's not disgusting. However, again, it was 100% justified. America could have done the alternative, which was invasion, but that wouldn't do as the Japanese wouldn't go down without a fight, they would be vicious and unwilling to surrender in the event of a mainland invasion. So, countless more would've died, including Americans and Japanese, both soldiers and citizens. I mean, the Battle of Okinawa actually had more casualties than the nukes, if only counting their individual casualties and not combining them. Imagine an invasion of mainland Japan, not a tiny island. There was no other way besides the nukes, and then factoring that Japan's atrocities made it necessary to stop them, the nukes were completely justified.
