Cheap and versatile - 1792 small batch. Rough day - knob creek 9 single barrel Craft - redwood empire lost monarch Unicorn is harder cuz I’m a cheap skate. Probably eagle rare for Me. I love it and have to have it around. My absolute favorite MUST have. Memory? My dear friend gave me a knob creek 15 for my birthday recently, and we cracked it together and celebrated my 50th. Saving it for those types of moments with friends.

These are great answers and honestly IDK where you’re from but ER is a unicorn. To Jon’s point, price doesn’t make it a unicorn. Hunting and valuing it does. I love that one.

@@BourbonBestiesNorCal. I can get eagle rare fairly easily right now for 50 or less. I absolutely love it.

My special bottle is a small bottle of 101 proof 8 year wild turkey. I'm guessing it was bottled around 1974 so at 8 years, it puts the bottle around my age. Right now it sits and waits to be opened.

I love your Blantons bottle story!!! And the memory bottle is obviously special to me. I can’t wait to see what other people post for their picks for these categories!

@@GentlemenandWhiskey - I think maybe video incoming with that … but I will say the hardest one to answer for me will be the memory bottle bc how do I pick? I have SO many that could be that one.

My 5 based on the criteria. JW Dant Bib, OGD 114, WT Rare Breed, Frey Ranch Farm Strength, Weller 12. The memory maker for me was Henry McKenna 10 year bib. Years ago we got it at msrp and me and friends got plastered trying to see what all the hype was.

Very coold and different list. My 5 needs at this time are a 1. Buffalo Trace (hopefully store pick) but there are finally starting to get easier to find in my area. 2. Inexpensive Bourbon I will bacon fat wash (current Early Times BiB) more experimentation in needed to find one I like better. 3. Under $50 that I can sip on. Heaven Hil BiB fits the bill right now, especially since my Costco has been carrying them for a great price. 4. Any Ben Holladay - I'm originally from Missouri and been to Weston, so it's really cool to see a distillery from there get so much recognition. 5. Still looking for that Unicorn that fits my budget. I'm not going to go out and spend more than $90 on a bottle of Bourbon. Someday I would like to grab a Blanton's for ~&60-70. We toured the distillery when I was a kid on family vacation in Kentucky over 30 years ago. it's crazy to me that in this time the distillery has gone from a little known niche to one of the most coveted bottles.

Yeah the Buffalo Trace glow up has been one of the wildest things in the bourbon boom.

I love JTS Brown, but it is only available in Kentucky. Fortunately I live in Nashville so it's a short drive.

That’s weird cause PA gets it as a special order, and I’m pretty sure MD and NJ get it too.

I guess you could say I have only two categories. The first one is the whiskey that I probably will never share with anyone and that includes family as I have a few bottles that I love over all the others. I stumbled onto these bottles by dumb luck. The second is all the other whiskey I own can be shared with anyone and drank at any given time. It doesn’t matter the cost, availability, proof or occasion.
