@@zandernewson9933 I don’t think it’s that deep. Japan is a small pretty homogeneous island, they have different problems to tackle than a lot of western countries, so they have different priorities. Proximity and relations to china means that they could put in a lot infrastructure for that sort of thing, we’re not getting electric toilets here in the UK anytime soon for instance. The SatellaView cartridge had a separate mini cartridge that acted like a microSD would on modern Flash Carts. This doesn't even make sense? The sessions for the BS Zelda games were an hour each week.

@@secureb00t39 you had 15 minutes to finish 2 dungeons per week, that's very little play time.

@@GeomancerHT yeah you made me second guess myself so I looked it up. There was no time limit for how long you could use the machine or the service. Some software, like the Zelda games, were only broadcast during certain time periods (the Zelda broadcasts being nearly an hour long, once a week for 4 weeks) and were occasionally rebroadcast. I don't know where you're getting the 15 minute count from.

At 22:29 you can see someone leaving behind a comment on how they'd happily buy the game but then proceed to ask about Mother 3. Lol classic hilarity.

The BS Zelda games are basically live service games before they became mainstream. Crazy how much games can change in less than 20 years
