Listening to The Growlers is both making new memories and remembering the old ones

The last comment he made was one that has stuck with me since the day this came out. I know many people aren't happy with the new sound of the growlers, but like brooks said, it's a gamble. It's also growth. It was a big moment for me to see them work with Julian, and even though their old sound was great, I still enjoy the new sound. I like the fact that they're moving in different directions, because it just allows them to experiment. Soon they might go back to the old roots, but even if they don't i'd love to listen to an album that they are truly happy and proud of. These dudes put a lot of work into everything they do which is why I love and respect them. I've seen them multiple times between 2014 till now and each time they still give me that same feeling that I had when I first discovered them.

“….you could lose what you had or go in the wrong direction”. Very prophetic words. That is exactly what happened to The Growlers.

I think fans will appreciate city club down the line. I personally don’t want beach goth sounding albums like hung at heart over and over again. I was happy they were trying new things.

Loving this, love how the band uses full on creativity for everything they do, music, props, album covers merchandise, you name it. I also appreciate the love and use Brooks and the guys get out of classic old vehicles, two thumbs up from a car guy. Love their music, their creativity, motivation, etc. A true example to follow, they're pure genius.

All of you whining about the direction they have taken.... people grow and change or get stuck. I prefer growth. Respectable artists are those who continue to stretch the envelope. Get over it.

what he says at the end is sad to me because I feel like thats exactly what happened to them, they lost what they had when half the band left and they decided to make city club. I miss the beach goth vibes :/

Not to worry, they'll probably go back to their beach goth roots when the time is right. For now, they just wanna experiment with a new sound. They're not gonna be the first or last band to do this, but hey all we can do is show support for our favorite musicians. Cheers.
