Different versions probably an early one. Music was uplifting lots of instruments. It was meant to wake you up and dance not zone out and be a zombie 😳 before computers took over teens were the life of malls sadly most became ghost towns due to online shopping and stay at home teens.

I get a little choked up see and hearing this... I'm an 80's teen who's first job was in a mall that no longer exists that looked very similar to this one on the bottom level where the Arcades were... I remember like it was just yesterday how busy the place was. There was once a time when everything you could and would want to do was at the mall... Life happened at the mall....

Going to Spencer’s, eating at the food court, going to the movie theatre in the mall, going to Macys, May co, sears, checking out the watches, jewelry, cologn counter, RadioShack, the arcade…such awesome times…the mall was a….destination…for kids, teens, adults, seniors..something for everyone…I always thought things were over priced in the mall..mainly due to extreme high rents the retailers had to pay..and that’s where Walmart, target, came in…then, with online, eBay, Amazon..and the fast paced society, nobody had TIME to go to, or hang out at the mall…NOW where are the greedy mall owners at?? Maybe they should NOT have charged such a ridiculously high price for space rent, then retailers could have sold at lower price, and stayed in business, and we’d still have our malls!! IDK..just a MAYBE….

Was in my local mall the other day, and it is dead. Half the stores have closed, there was barely anyone there, and it felt like a certain point in time has completely passed. Herbergers, JC Penny, Footlocker, Sears, The jewelers, the pizza place are all gone. The only people there were old folks who just walk up and down the wings for exercise. There were a couple of 80’s songs that played as I walked from one end to the other, to use the restroom, and they just echoed through the mall. It made me think of these KZitem videos and I was overcome with a sense of melancholy mixed with nostalgia. I was born in 95, but holy cow does it feel like we have lost something, even since I was a kid/teenager

I honestly love the last 4 months of the year (besides July and August), they feel like an escape from what the rest of the year holds (January, February, March, April, May and June seem so stressful and dragging for me for some reason, despite enjoying them not so long ago) 😂❤️
