Make sure you have a way to treat a swollen injury or twisted ankle. Rubber hot water bottle is my preference. Can use hot or cold

$5 a week is my budget. One week it’s food the next is bandaids the next water then the next cleaning ect.. I get most of my medical stuff from the dollar tree and my cleaning stuff. I have a very small one bedroom and there is three of us but I have built a good 3 month stalk pile just from $5 a week. I am considered poor so I also use my local food bank and the long storage I put in a container and put to the side. I VERY much suggest garden seeds every spring you can get 4 for a $1 at the dollar general and there are good deals online for bulk.❤ good luck everyone and god bless

I have been going to garage sales and trying to buy up things that I may need for the kitchen, tools, and lots of crafting items that I will use because the prices have gone up so much in the stores. I also look at things that I may need in the future such as boots for winter, sheets, planters, etc. whatever types of items that will wear out. If I see something at a garage sale for a cheap price, I will pick it up because we don't know what the future will hold. I would rather pay today's prices and garage sale prices then future prices. Even the good wills have gone up on prices. Not buying many plastics either, mostly glass, stainless steel, wood items too. These types of items will last longer and stand the test of time. I'm buying leather shoes, cotton and linen and wool clothing and materials just trying to make sure that they will last and are good for all types of weather and situations. I heard a saying a while back that went like this....one is none, two is one, and three is done. Thanks for sharing and encouraging us so much. See you on the next one.

Hello Alaska Granny. I wanted to say I tried the oats/cinnamon recipe yesterday. It was so good! I ate it cold right out of the fridge. It's been hot here in Texas so it was a light but filling treat.👍😋❤️

As someone that at old house ants killed the pressure switch on the well regularly. I have water lots of places. We love the Brunswick packs. I like dt for over counter stuff we dont use much. That way if we dont use it much less wasted. Also couple years ago that was only place acetaminophen was in stock.

My daughter was at our local Walmart and called me to say that the Keystone Roast Beef was on clearance for $4 a can. What a great deal as they are regularly nearly $9 a can. I asked her to get 5 cans and she said, "Mom, they are already in the cart. I think it's wonderful that she also sees the value of having a stockpile of food. I am also very thankful for your videos. You have great ideas! Keep them coming. I live in TN.

Baking soda is something I use a good bit of. It's great for cleaning, can brush your teeth with it, sprinkle it in the cats litter box, sanitizes laundry. Put a little in a bowl and set it on the stove to absorb cooking smells. So many uses! Thank you AG, you help keep me on track! Stay safe! 💜

I buy pouches of pool shock (calcium hypochlorite) for sterilizing water. Drop some in my rain barrel and it kills bad germs while outgassing in a few hours. I get mine from RONA. Thanks for the video, AG!! ❤❤

Yes a dollar a day will have you sitting pretty in a couple of years. Triple that and less than a year later voila. 🤗 Hereford corned beef is delicious. Extra vinegar is great for pickling produce to give it a longer shelf life.

When you mentioned shampoo I realized I need several Baby shampoo for grandkids and pets. We bought several waste basket plastic bag rolls at Dollar General on the $1.00 Isle. Bought a shovel at Harbor Freight for digging holes for Household and human/ pet waste. I think you had a video about chaos and no garbage service. Crazy times. Thanks great video.

Near O'Hare airport. We get flooding. Baking soda is also good for foot powder and deodorant. I keep extra salt and bouillon to make soups in winter. I use apple cider vinegar to stretch salad dressings, sauces, ketchup, and more. Tina, Al's wife

Masking tape, duct tape, regular tape, paper clips, Xtra staples for stapler, birthday candles, put together a container of mixed sizes of nails and screws nuts and bolts, pieces of strings, small tarps, rolls of foil, plastic wrap, wax paper, parch paper. In case of dire dire circumstances unwind 4 or 5 ft of toilet paper and re-roll put in a jar and into the pantry it goes..... proper perspective, imagination, and sheer determination will help us prep and see us and those we care about endure just about anything.

This video reminded me to put a few more bandaids in my purse. Yesterday I was taking my granddaughter home from work and we saw a girl wipe out on her scooter. We were able to help her because I carry first aid supplies with me. So grateful I had them. You never know when you might need them.
