The card has many applications in pioneer. For green devotion decks in particular the possibility to make 5 mana on turn 2 ( of llanowar elves t1) is very appealing. Also an opening hand with nykthos as your only land means mulligan 100% of the time. With leyline of the Guildpact giving your lands every basic type you can play nykthos on one and play oath of nissa to get a second land, or play a llanowar elves etc...risky but can be rewarding. Also in keruga fire the card gives you acces to leyline binding off your first land drop and is also a 4 drop to sacrifice to enigmatic incarnation... The card is good in some decks due to the fact it soft fixes some issues and synergizes naturally with what they are trying to do.

Yeah that is all true, I’m just unsure how consistent that’ll be or if the risk/reward of playing a 4 mana “do nothing if not played turn 0” enchantment is enough

Saying the card doesnt give you a mana advantage is just stupid by all means. Like it makes all nonland permanents all colors along with all lands all colors on top of its additional land abilities. Like bro pair it with scion of draco and you get a 4/4 artifact creature dragon with lifelink, vigilance, hexproof, first strike and trample if your hella lucky all that on turn 2. Now you say that its usless for it being a four drop for its benefits. That really not that bad of a mana drop for what you get. Now of course somone can play a blood moon or somthing but thats not gonna happen often. With this you also said its bad in a 5 color deck due to having a bad mana base and youd want to build around getting a good mana base like of course but you always need to build your deck around something like having back ups in case say an artifact or anither enchantment that does somthing similar gets taken out or vice versa. This card is restricted in someways but part of its benefits really get bolstered in mainly green 5 color decks like tom bombadil. Its all about how you make your deck and build into and part of the game is always about luck. Youll win some and lose some and its definitely a fun card to play with. As a good card game player used to say, "Its the heart of the cards". So quite frankly i believe your argument of it being terrible is well... terrible tbh.

The hype around leyline of the guildpact is only going to be good in modern, MAYBE pioneer as well. But modern is where it has a chance to shine because of domain. In a format like modern, Leyline combos with Scion of Draco and Leyline Binding. Combine it with pitch elements, and its floor is an easy pitch. Its ceiling is a nasty domain combo piece.

I could honestly see it having life in Leg/Vin w/ Coalition Victory as well. But Modern/Commander are where I expect it to see the most play, myself. Modern for the exact reasons you said. The domain potential is nuts.

This card is amazing. Think Jodah the unifier and a whole bunch of 2 cost legendary creatures and artifacts/creatures. Get the dual 1 health lands and you can come up with a really potent deck.

Would it not be insane in Sisay??

It would be good in the Modern Domain deck. Standard would have no impact, pioneer perhaps. In Sisay edh, I would not bother to play it, as your 1/2/3/4/5 CMC permanents will get you there eventually.

Is this card going to be good after rotation? :)

Honestly couldn't tell you, I'm not much of a standard player.
