Those bedsheets are for double bed, i think, thatswhy so huge. For five fifty, they are a steal even for locals, believe me! Seems like you are pretty good in bargaining :) In Goa, i find that prices r not too high at beach stalls as compared to other touristy places but the quality of stuff is good.

Hi aly, The anklets are called payal. They are worn on both the feet at the same time. Traditional one are supposed to have little jingles on them. Huge part of traditional Indian accessory, so you will always find amazing variety The dress you got is called a kurta, traditionally worn over salwar (which are a kind of cotton trousers). But with the fashion evolving, a lot of various kinds of lowers are worn with them. The ones you bought are called plazzos.

Oh, you haven't seen much of Indian jewelry yet. You will just be blown away by the different varieties of ornaments and the amount of gold people buy(about 20% of all gold ever mined is owned by Indian women). Jewelry, especially gold(and also the silver anklets that Aly showed) play a really huge role in the Indian society. And just don't get started on Indian clothes. They're the most beautiful clothes a person can ever possess. The prints are exquisite and clothes from no other place in the world are as colourful as the Indian ones. This ensures that shopping is a favourite pastime for many Indians (especially women)

Meg Kirwan yes india is unsafe..I am an Indian ..I used to say that it is very safe country but the situation was different then...but keep the things in mind that not all part of India is unsafe .. basically southern states like Kerala .. Tamilnadu..and the north east state ..Punjab ..mumbai...are relatively much safe.etc..yes pls avoid to go UP ..Madhya Pradesh... Haryana.. Because this place are unpredictable.. because their native peoples also facing very much crime ... Himachal Pradesh is also safe ...India is a vast cultural country but due to increasing crime it is becoming unsafe...But Another thing is that if you connect a true india not like those bastards you will say india is the best country not only in hospitality...food... temple in everything..I hope your luck will connect a true indian

you should bought yellow, light pink, you bought all black, try not to be too keen about prices, its you are end up buying low quality product esp. bed sheets. Also share what you ate and how eating habits are pertain to veg. Gold and Silver from South would be good in south plus Jaipur (Raj.) etc. Try to enjoy moments, India is about experience, ecosystem, languages, music, dance, festivals, food, travel, materials, services etc. medicines (Auyrveda), many at times you are just comparing things, see things which are unique like how students at school know, choices available for all aspects of life etc. Take care, think of talking to rural or may be poor people as well and understand why they are happy without having any assets and money.
