Goddamn what the hell is Medicorp doing? I was considering joining the SPF but after seeing this drama I think I rather join the hijackers... But seriously though if they were able to make a good film about such an operation that would actually be amazing

They made Special Forces in SG feel and look stupid and not professional... this is disappointing...😮💨 I always admire our SOTF since their Singapore Airlines Flight 117 hijack incident as they rescued all civilians and have zero casualties. 😥 It really shows how MediaCorp doesn't care about important details and they should consult military experts to make a more realistic show.

Ah thanks for the heads-up, luckily I watched this before watching the actual thing. It actually seems worse than the generic American zombie film involving generals sending 400 infantrymen into an obviously dangerous zone. I really thought our film industry was better 🤦♂️

Plot was pretty decent. Sure, the technical details is a real killer, but overall, it's not too bad. But considering it's coming from Mediacorp, the eye for detail is not quite there.

Good points but I have some disagreements. Side of tunnel can be dangerous because of ricochets. Standard safety is to stay away from walls. Advancing in a narrow line compromises firepower because only the first guy can shoot. Choose depending on the situation. Jammers work in specific frequencies. Cell phones have a dedicated band of frequencies. Silenced sniper is not practical unless for low power round like .22LR which few police or army units use for sniping. Standard rifle round or even 9mm pistol round will still be very loud even if subsonic ammunition is used with a suppressor. Helmet flashlight is useful in some situations. Problem with rifle flashlight is you are always pointing your gun at anything you illuminate. Accidents happen. Choose depending on the situation.

Hi, you've made some compelling arguments. Yes, bullets do ricochet, but statistically, you have a higher chance of getting shot standing in the middle of a "hallway". Yes, jammers work in specific frequencies. Cell phones use UHF which is synonymous with police tactical frequencies. You may be right regarding the impracticality of suppressed subsonic snipers. Helmet mounted flashlights are basically giving away your position in this situation?

wait theres something known as silent snipers? I tot indoors even silenced guns are like 110-120 decibels?
@YGfromSG
Жыл бұрын
Sorry, I forgot to mention suppressors do not completely silence a gun. A suppressor reduces a gunshot anywhere from about 15 to 45 decibels depending on the caliber and other conditions. A 45 dB is the difference between the sound made by a squeeze toy and an air raid siren. So the suppressor reduces the noise created by the expanding hot gas leaving the muzzle. The second noise is the sonic boom created by the bullet breaking the sound barrier. This noise cannot be reduced by a suppressor but can be reduced by bullets traveling below the speed of sound. Cartridges like the .300 Whisper leave the barrel at subsonic velocities with no sonic boom. They are quiet enough that people comfortably shoot them without ear protection. People who shot semiauto .22s also said that they were so quiet that the sound of the bolt banging back and forth was louder than the muzzle blast. Then, there is the third noise created by bullet impact. Honestly, this really depends on where the bullet lands.

@@YGfromSG interesting I see appreciate the breakdown, but I mean in the movie, if the hostage takes realise one of Their buddies is missing, they'll grow suspicious anyways. Also I saw in a breakdown video of another movie, the host said that one advantage soldiers have over terrorist is that soldiers have nods so does it make sense to kill the lights and raid the train ? Just wondering.
@YGfromSG
Жыл бұрын
@@team_tuner88 Yes, they'll grow suspicious if one or more of their buddies go missing, which is why sniper's engagement is usually done in synchronization with the assault team moving in. Speed and surprise are crucial. Killing the lights before the assault is legit as it blinds the hijackers and grants friendly forces with NVGs the tactical advantage.

Dude..... again, shows. Do. Not. Use. Real. Life. Tactics. For. Show. Its a film and there are things done for a reason like that, we aren't the states, they value opsec and if you can't see that I honestly think this conversation is going nowhere because clearly you don't understand what the meaning of OPSEC means, Thanks.
