I played with Ezone dr 98 and after with Ezone tour for almost a year and started to have shoulder issues, after played with new Ezone Tour and felt that the racquet changed a lot. Mostly lost feel on the frame which old racquet gave me all these years, felt more power and less control and also with Ezone 98(305gr) felt that new racquet is more for a club player (more power, more forgiving but less control). So after I fixed all my shoulder issues(had tendon small tearing) I tried vcore pro 97(310/320/330gr) and after trying new vcore 98 tour felt in love with the frame. Is not only spiny but is so stable and controllable that after I fixed tension on my poly tour pro 1.2 (went to 24/23kg) I felt in love. It is very good on serve and fh expecially if you hit with semiwestern grip with straight elbow. Bh is also nice and volleys quite ok. The only drawback is that you need one set of strings for 2h if you are a good hitter, tension drops a lot and after 2h of play is very difficult to control the ball. almost in everything about the frame I can agree with guys and thanks for a good review but my feeling is if you a kinda Yonex family players Vcore 98 tour is the very nice frame to play on clay and dominate with the spin, Vcore pro 97h is a good game for fast courts and if you play also one or two handed bh, 97 and 97d are good frames but 97h just better. And Ezone was for years my best frame but current one is too powerful and I did not felt it like previous models, maybe my technique is not allowing me to take 100pct from this frame. Percept line is also "user friendly" than older model.

ATT absolutely crushes reviews and comparisons. Super appreciative for all the insight, although I’m going back to demo the EZONE lineup… I spent a couple weeks with the VC100, but felt semi unorthodox with a single backhand. Served great, heaps of spin, but stiffer than what I’m looking for. Demoing the VC95 this week along with the new Prestige Tour… Not sure if there was in depth Percept play test, but the 97 and 97D seem to be alternatives. It’s been a journey, but narrowing it down has been an overwhelming challenge.

If you are getting a high trajectory, tighten up the tension. It's amazing how many of the testers will take a racquet like a VCore Pro and string it low. You may get loads of spin, but the control goes out the window.

At 2:28, you mentioned that you're using the Vcore tour 97. I also use the Vcore tour 97, a very whippy racquet. Would you recommend switching to Vcore 98 for more power?🙏

Really liked this review! However, why on earth did you guys choose Volkl Cyclone to be the string when reviewing? Isn't that string known for terrible tensionloss? Would love for you guys to review racket: Tecnifibre Tempo 298 IGA (stock and customized/weighted up) and string: Head Lynx Tour Orange 1.25

Great review, thanks.. but i think you’ve just made my decision harder 😅.. im currently trying a VC100.. very powerful but looking to sacrifice some of that power for more control and consistency.. i was considering the VC98 or even new Percept 100, but now you guys got me thinking about the VC98T, and also the Ezone 98T.. you said the EZ98T pops of the racquet better, which i found the VC100 lacks… and i think i prefer the heavier weight from the VC98T and EZ98T.. ahh so many choices!

Thoughts on this racquet vs vcore 95? I play an all court game and really like the 95 but would definitely add weight to it in the hoop and handle. I was a long time pro staff and rf97 user

One question if possible. I am writing to you from Armenia. I am 33 years old (58кг 166-168cm height). I have wanted to learn to play tennis for a long time. I found a coach for myself, and today was my 9th lesson. I was able to play with him 10 times already :DD . I really like the videos on your channel, and I've learned a lot from watching them too. So here's my question... Could you recommend 1-2 specific tennis racquets that are suitable for a beginner player like me but also that have really good quality? I can order them from the United States or Europe, so that's not a problem. Also, I believe a larger head size would be beneficial to easily hit the ball ( BUT IF THE TREND IS SHIFTING TO 98 HEAD SIZE, MAYBE BETTER ME TO START FROM THERE?) . Also what you think is it better for me to pick light weight version of a racquet or a standard one like 280gram or near 300? Was thinking about these ones.... 1 - Yonex VCORE "L" 2 - Yonex EZONE "L" 3 - Pure Drive "team" 4 - Pure Aero "team" Thank you in advance, would highly appreciate if you respond in a little elaborated way ) thanks again

Haven't played with the current version of the Vcore 98, but played with the 2021 version, and agree that the launch angle is extreme. As I hit relatively flat, through the court, I found it difficult to keep the ball in. As you rightly mention, for that type of game the VC95 is the way to go, and I am currently playing the 2023 version, weighted with 1g at 12 and 1.5g at 10&2 each. Super stable, good control, but a surprising amount of pop for a 95. Great racquet for a OHBH.

I use 95 too (3 g each at 10 and 2) but find it is a bit inconsistent in forehand, I need to swing fully to form the ball (hard to chip-charge/block because it will make the balls float). I haven't left it yet because flat serves with 95 are bombs. How is your experience?
@johnnyguitar6697
Жыл бұрын
@@tophersuwita I too had to put some lead, the SW was too light in stock form (around 318). I have 1g at 12, 1.5g at 10 and 2 each, and added 3g in the buttcap to maintain rougly le same HL balance. Plays very well for me in this configuration: stable, accurate, with good level of power (I play a full bed of poly at ~48lbs). My forehand in particular, has had a noticeble bump in power according to my regular hitting partners. Slice on the BH (my go to rallying shot on that wing) stays low and goes where intended. Serve is decent, I find my spots with the slice and the kick, rarely go full pelt flat. Overall happy with this stick.

Sounds like the VC98 Tour is really what the VCore 95 should have been from the get-go. More stable, more consistent string bed, overall a more solid frame.

@allthingstennis, do think the VCore Tour 98 would play too heavy with a leather grip + overgrip? I’m looking to switch away from my 2021 VCore 95 2021 which I have customised with weight at 10 and 2, leather grip + overgrip making it 350g strung, 330g swing weight.

Friends, how can I leave the head 360 + Extreme Tour moderately similar to the yonex vcore 98? Would it be a good idea to add a few grams at 12 o'clock? Maybe five centimeters of lead at 3 and 6 too?

@@brunis_m I wouldn’t say more powerful, they came out quite similar when tested together. String set up will change how they play. I would say both have easy access to spin and both decent power. More powerful frames would be the ezone. And the as boom.
