Well shucks I have been going to the RC track for a bit now . Those RC drifts cars have looked interesting and up leaving the hobby shop with a RMX RTR 2.5 and a mini Z Subaru AWD drift then went home to KZitem to figure it out thanks for this video.

How come traxxas chasing aren't use more? I have so many spare traxxas stuff I've really wanted to make a drift build out of the parts. Either a rwd rustler that I can lower or a 4tec 2.0 awd but I keep gettin told rwd is better than awd? But then I see that there's a big difference between indoor competitive drifting vs just driving outside in the parking lot. Can you speak on this a little? Ive heard the rwd drift cars are basically useless outdoors. Also is 1/10 the most common size or do they have smaller?
@lifeofnozzy3312
Жыл бұрын
1/10 is the most common size would would see on a indoor track, the way these cause are design is for going sideways just like have formula drift cars in real life are dedicated to drifting, its not like you couldn’t convert one but its just not gone be the same as far as handling
@lifeofnozzy3312

Also, awd drift cars rwd arent even close to similar, part yea but the way they drive no, an yes you can use rwd outside, that depends on your tires

Honestly those chassis are high comp chassis which take alot of skill off the bat to drive them, this hobby is not easy at all so buyin a more expensive doesnt get you tht far, but if you were going to pick one of those up id buy the md1

IMO, best chassis under $700 would be any of the base level plastic YD2Z/S/E. Those are roughly $200 more or less and will leave you enough room to buy quality electronics that will live throughout its lifespan as you upgrade small stuff here and there (so long as they aren't abused). With any base plastic YD2 paired with quality electronics (New), a whole setup will land you around $700. YD2 in general also has the best aftermarket support so you can really customize it to your own style over time. If you're lucky, you might be able to find the "Plus" versions of the YD2 second hand for cheap (ex: YD2 R Plus). The "Plus" versions of these cars will usually come with a carbon upper/lower deck, aluminum shock-towers, and aluminum big-bore shocks! These components propel the car into intermediate-competition category. MST is also a decent option since they offer the best RTR kit (better than Yokomo rtr's in my opinion). Most of their RTR kits are roughly $400 depending where you look. If it's your first RC car in general, you'll also need a battery (preferably 7.4v 5200mah LiPo) and charger. Eventually however, you'll end up having to replace servo/gyro and remote (rx/tx) since the cheap ones it comes with go bad over time. Aftermarket support for this brand is dwarfed in comparison to Yokomos support. It's definitely a chore looking for certain parts unless you know where to look. Though I have seen some frankenstein builds that have adapted YD2 parts onto it with little to no effort. If you're just talking base chassis alone (not including electronics), any of the YD2SXIII, YD2RX, or YD2ZX type chassis will be worth it (around $600). Roughly 80% hopped up with nearly all aluminum upgrades; slide-rack for steering system, aluminum big bore shocks, carbon upper/lower deck, aluminum shock towers, aluminum bulkhead, aluminum motor mount with built-in heatsink and fan-mount. Those reading this with prior knowledge might say "What about the MC-1, or Bianca, or Rhinomax Shark", those kits and others like it are conversion chassis (meaning you'll need to either sacrifice a car or buy parts a la cart to complete), and although they technically are around $700 or less, the parts necessary to complete them will already propel the car past $1000 assuming you're buying everything new. Hope this narrows it down
