November is Hospice and Palliative Care Awareness Month and to celebrate, a multidisciplinary panel of palliative care providers from the UCSF MERI Center, the Stanford Palliative Care Center of Excellence, and Sutter Health’s Palo Alto Medical Foundation have come together to explain how palliative care can help improve quality of life for those living with a difficult illness. Hear from a palliative care doctor, nurse practitioner, social worker, and spiritual care as they describe their roles on the team and how they work together to care for the whole person - mind, body, and spirit.
Panelists:
Ramy Salah, Doctor at Sutter Health’s Palo Alto Medical Foundation
Meg Mendiola, Nurse Practitioner at Sutter Health’s Palo Alto Medical Foundation
Jacelyn Hall, Social Worker at Stanford’s Inpatient Palliative Care Program
Naomi Saks, Spiritual Care at UCSF Division of Palliative Medicine
