@AndrewsYoutube
2 жыл бұрын
@@SuperBloder : Yes. So far, the 3050 has been working great with the TP01/400W PSU. However, I did have two problems initially. The 8pin power connector to the card sticks out further than the case, so the left side case does not close all the way. Second, the 3050 does produce a decent amount of heat when under full load, so the TP01 case needs more ventilation/cooling. This may be different though for different model HP/Dell machines.

@AndrewsYoutube
2 жыл бұрын
@@SuperBloder : I think you will be fine running a 3060 with a 9400f on a 450W power supply, as long as you do not plan to overclock the 9400f or the 3060, as overclocking will cause them to consume more power. The 3060 card does require a power connection to the power supply, normally an 8 pin (6+2 pin) connector/cable. Check your Corsair power supply first. Make sure it has one of those type of power cables. If you are not sure how to check, ask your friend who built the PC. They should know or can help you. In addition, make sure the 3060 card you purchase also has the 8 pin power connector and not something bigger (like a 12 pin power connector or an 8 pin plus second 6 pin power connector). If it does, that is fine. Just confirm first that your Corsair power supply also has that type of power cable as well. For the heat, it will depend on the size of your computer case, how many fans it has installed, and how much gaming you will do. It is not required, but ideally you want at least one intake fan and one exhaust fan on your computer case. This is especially true if it is a small case and you plan on doing a lot of gaming. If your PC has just the one exhaust fan, check with your friend who built your PC about adding an intake fan. They may be able to help with that. Good luck and have fun.

@@davidibalio7217 yes! I got the MSI Ventus 2x 3060ti off eBay but I returned it as the fans were defective with horrible bearing noise, but the setup worked! I bought a cheap watt meter and with CPU running 40-50% and GPU nearly maxed out it was drawing under 300w so I’m comfortable with this setup on the 400w HP power supply. @@wesleychef Alright, a few things before all that. How do you determine that your CPU is bottlenecking? Ryzen Master can help with the OC, but I have a few concerns, one with Ryzen second gen, OC-ing will reflect on much higher temps and much more power drawn, so the payback benefit might not be worth the whole drill, especially with a smaller case like that and the motherboard in it.

Thank you for a very informative video. I'm in Australia and GPU's are pretty expensive. I purchased my Dell G5 with a rtx 1650 super with 4GB of vram and a 500w PSU. Like a lot of people I was told in the comments sections of other videos on YT that various GPU's are incompatible with G%'s because 500W won't power them. I have also read that the length of various GPS's is an issue if they are longer than 9 inches. Clearly that is not the case, at least as far as the EVGA RTX 3060 is concerned. I don't know how much they cost in your part of the world but they are $1100 - $1200 Australian dollars here. Being the tight-arse that I freely admit to being, I have been thinking about picking up a used card from someone who is upgrading. I'm assuming you own a computer components related business and I was wondering is it possible for you to give us poor souls a list of at least a few GPU's that are compatible with a Dell g5 ? I'm looking at going somewhere from 8GB upwards with a nvidia chipset. I've started dabbling in machine learning and I'm told Nvidia is best for that.
