Wrong. There are no 'wrong notes' in this etude. I hate the name wrong note. It's more of a playful sort of song, about the loss of childhood.

Personally I like the name "wrong note". It shows that even wrong dissonant and messy notes can create a beautiful piece. Thus creating perfection from imperfection.

Very musically, i think the other versions I’ve listened to just focus on the technique, its not bad to focus on that, but you have to remember that the Chopin etudes have a musicality to it, it’s not just about technique

Actually (sorry to be that guy) this interpretation is the farthest from Chopin’s original score. I too like it the most, but the rhythms and pedaling that make it musical are the opposite of what Chopin indicated. You can see the manuscript for free in the official Chopin institute online.

All the interpretations about this piece dont really make sense to me. I dont hear a wrong note in this piece; its actually some or the most profoundly "correct" notes i've come across in this life time. The way the rhythmic and harmonic grating goes hand to hand as it ebs and flows in and out of sync in multiple scales of time.

Kissin is undoubtedly a master, but for what concerns this specific piece, I prefer Lisitsa's interpretation.
