This move is so iconic. In Chile we've been calling this move "El Chupa Poto", which translates to "The Butt Sucker". El Chupa Poto has been a popular joke in the chilean SF community, from the underground arcades to the established ones like "Juegos Diana" since the 90s. The Atomic Buster a.k.a El Chupa Poto lives on as one of the most dangerous moves in fighting game history... and also an easy laugh for us chilean gamers.

The CA from SF6 is easily his best super. It fits Gief's persons as a wrestler the best. Oh, and the english lines are ten times better than the Japanese ones.

@@mappybc6097 The SF6 version of Gief enhanced his character by enhancing his wrestling style, something that wasnt attempted before, since SF devs were used to simply recycle the basic SF2 concept of his character (same for other veterans too). Only recently they are allowing themselves to try new things and evolve SF veterans.

The impact on this 25% or less health-powered SPD 9:23 ... :O Is it so bad that I wanna see this be done animated but much more visually brutal? Just imagine the first hit, Gief slams his wrist across your neck, choking you, and then slams you with so much power on your neck your head explodes, or your whole body... Such an incredible CA. The shockwave is what really sells it.
