Great stuff, Barrie. You are so right. The old models are part of the history of the model railway hobby, and thus important. They capture an innocence and a purity of toys and they are wonderful to run and play with. Thanks for sharing your passion and knowledge. from my point of view, after watching and learning from you over the last few years, everything you've shared will live on. All the best Barrie.

I think Hornby Dublo were always incredible at making moulds. I stripped down a Duchess of Atholl to the metal and was amazed at the quality and finesse of the moulding of the die-cast body, and this was a mould initially made in the mid 1930’s ! Though of course it wasn’t released until after WW2. Love Hornby Dublo and Wrenn.

I've got a good few Wrenn wagons (& Pullmans) but no horse box. Every time I see them at train fairs, they are silly money. I keep looking though!
