Can I do that with INSERTTEXT and relative paths to insert the text of a cell?

To view the active cell/hyperlink on top left of screen you can go to File > Options > Advanced >Select the checkbox called "Transition navigation keys". Click on the OK button.

Hi Mr. Excel. I created a cell with a function of random selection of other cells. But im trying to put hyperlink to that selection made, so it will take me to the cell where the information was taken. Do you think that's possible?

Would this work for excel files that are save in the cloud? I tried doing it but I can't make it work. I copied the URL, deleted everything that goes after the .xlsx ,and then add the #'[Sheet Name]'![Cell #] format. Instead of going to the specific cell, it just goes to the last page I viewed.

Are you opening it in Excel Online? I don't think this is supported yet.

It's funny I can get this to work in an Excel Online file if hyperlinking from Word, and it works perfect, but when I build the same URL in PowerBI, it fails.

Bill Jelen Bad luck, would have been very good. I'll have to ask Don Gates if he can do something to make it compatible.

This should work in Office 2010 in Windows. Where is it failing for you? Are you getting an error message when you set up the hyperlink? Are you using a cell address or a named range? Can you paste your hyperlink text in a reply here? Maybe there is some unusual characters that I can't predict. Can you try a test with a very simple path and file name. Create C:\aaa\. Save a workbook there called A.xlsx with Sheet1. Make sure to include the Hash symbol and apostrophes. Your hyperlink should look like this: C:\aaa\a.xlsx#'Sheet1'!C4

@@razmanramedanseventyseven7988 My first quick thought... You are trying to link to a sheet. Does that sheet have a simple name that is one word? Test it with a one-word sheet name like "BalanceSheet" and see if this works better than a sheet name such as "Balance Sheet". I never use spaces in my sheet tabs, but I realize a lot of people do. When I find that someone is not getting the same result, my first thought ... is there spaces in the sheet tab?

Think about hyperlinks in web pages. A hyperlink never has a space. People will use Income_Statement instead of Income Statement. If you are hoping to have a hyperlink from outside of Excel, get rid of the spaces in your tab names. Just because Excel lets you put a space there does not mean you should.

How do we avoid having to click on "Enable Content" every time? I recently had this appear, but only on one of my workbooks, annoying.
